Leicester post match thread

Yeah we won the game but in my opinion it was dull, especially the 2nd half. Not a Mancini fan at all. I'm comparing the quality of players between 5 yrs ago and now. And today's lot are not as good. We haven't improved. Letting a mid table outfit like Leicester boss us for 50 mins is quite ridiculous given the quality of players we are meant to have not to mention the money spent. KDB has been sussed. Any team prepared to get right up him and he isn't interested.

Except they never bossed us.

apart from a few moments in the 1st half today's game was dull. Fed up of the slow build up play and passing across the back 4. Teams just let us have it. With all this talk about the 5 yr anniversary of you know what.......we are not a better team than 2012.... In fact we are worse. Zero progress made in 5 yrs.
Thank fuck you've only had 300 posts if they're all as fucking stupid as this one.

Brilliant today if it wasn't for the ref, linesman, Leicester being on drugs and the commentators hating us we would have won at least 8 0. Some say we were good first half and a bit ropey second half and the decisions were a bit doubtful or tough to judge either way but these people are obvious rags.

Anyhow 4th is almost there so a good day.

Had to watch it again to confirm, but letting them make the substitution but not allowing Jesus to return. Very poor. Then booking the defender.

We have some bent referees in this country.

Edited for accuracy mate.

Blueinsa ;-)

The rule for a player injured then goes of they have to wait till the ball is played unlike subs. Stupid rule because if we subbed jesus the sub would of been aloud to come on before the corner was played.

As I said first time round, how the hell you come to the conclusion KDB was fuckin immense today is a mystery. In fact one of the oddest opinions on a players 90 minutes I've probably ever read.

I couldn't care less, mate.

I said "I thought KDB and Silva were immense today" and I stand by it and can back it up with objective stats. You disagree with my assessment and don't consider football stats to be important, as you've made clear in the past (notably in the Bring Back Joe Hart thread), OK.

We never played any dull games or had to dig deep to get three points in 2011/2012, right?

I'm comparing the quality of players between 5 yrs ago and now.

...on the basis of one game.

And today's lot are not as good.

Sure, Aguero isn't what he was then, or Clichy, or Vinny.

I'd argue Silva is still as good and I'd argue Leroy Sane has the ceiling of a Ballon D'Or type player, potentially Gabriel Jesus too.

We haven't improved.

We certainly improved on the last four games against Leicester we've played.

Letting a mid table outfit like Leicester boss us for 50 mins is quite ridiculous

Last season's champions? Who drew at home to Atletico only a month ago and stuffed Seville just before? Who we haven't beaten convincingly in years?

What are you talking about?

given the quality of players we are meant to have

Get back to me when Gael Clichy isn't at left back and we aren't looking to Jesus Navas to help out at right.

KDB has been sussed. Any team prepared to get right up him and he isn't interested.

So sussed indeed, that he had more possession of the ball than any other player on the park but Toure, Otamendi and Kompany. Washed up. KDB out. Pep out too. Mancini in.

I said it immediately after the game. He gave the almost perfect 2nd half performance of how to sway a result without it being overly obvious.

he is a cheat and thank fuck we overcame him today.

In fairness mate you need to take a step back and rethink, we have had far more worse performances from refs this season. Replays are killing refs to be fair, he was fine today and the thread is a bit embarrassing

Mahrez is unbelievable, he's wasted at leicster. Could play for any team in the world.

Fellow blue moaners, flappers and wet fannies.
What a great grind out win against that despicable club to secure top 3, yours truly was dreading we'd have got nought from this game.
Merlin's goal, Raz was onside, marginally his mutton chops millimetres off, but his little feat on.
Sane penalty was stonewall blatant cathedral size, cool finish by Gabriel J.
Okasaki goal was cool but lucky Nico slipped. Check those fucking boots.
Clichy's penalty was outside the box, justice's been served with those two touches.
The ref and linos gave them everything, even 10 minutes. I am convinced that the English football rules state that when a foul is committed only give the kick if it's against City, and book the offender if clad in sky blue even if an opponent play acts and dives.
Enjoy.
I have posted before about "Bobby' Madley... he is totally shit and how he has not been demoted beggars belief. Let Leicester play on for a foul and then give them a free kick when we tackle them back. City get fouled want to play on but No stop for a free kick. He is so out of his depth as a referee its embarrasing and my heart sank when I found out he was in charge today..... I would feel sorry for the teams if he had to ref a League 1 game.. total wanker

Im not talking about major decisions mate, its the seemingly small ones. The free kicks in their favour whilst they kick our lads to fuck. The 50/50's all going their way. The advantage rules that seemingly only ever go one way. The corners given where its clear to even Stevie Wonder the last touch was that of a Leicester player and finally 7 mins, yes 7 mins of injury time that suddenly becomes 10.

I'm not type sure how anyone could come to the conclusion that KDB was immense today after actually watching that game.

Shots on target still too low and keeper not having to do much needs to improve a bit.

Almost there now though. One good win should get top 4

So relieved we won but fcuk me we are so naive at seeing a game out when we're winning - defence all over the place, misplaced headers and passes, giving fouls away in dangerous positions, can't keep possession to save our lives, can't win a foul, can't take it in the corner to kill time, give the ball away to the opposition often when we're in a good position. Summed it up at the very end as when we broke from their pressure the game seemed over as Sane got in on their goal - he either scores or kills the final few seconds but NO! -he hits his shot against the back of their defender which rebounded and set them up for a final attack which was looking dangerous until the ref blew for full time.
Epic naivety.

Really. That's news to me.

Any chance of finding me that post?

Take a city fan and during a game out of 20 decisions 14 seem straightforward 3 the opposition are hard done by 3 city are. Guess which ones the city fans remember the most? Watch the game again and at the commencement of injury time sit there and see if you can find 3 minutes extra. It won't be hard believe me. A fair gripe would be other refs don't add what they should. Do we slate a guy who does it correctly?

If we want to judge a ref fairly there is only one way to do it, don't support a football team. Also try watching a neutral game of football without replays and see how many decisions you get wrong, if this guy wanted to shaft us he did a pretty good job at not doing so. If people dont pick their battles they just turn into mourinho.

Couldn't be there as my lad had a fight today so no input just happy with the three points.

Thread is locked so can't quote directly, but you can see it in your own history. Here's what you said:

Any idea of a breakdown on those shots. Inside the area, outside. We all know stats are so misleading. He literally could of had a high percentage of saving pretty weak and lame shots than making cracking saves.

This is the same when using stats on pretty much every player, they can be so misleading

I can sit and watch any game and come the injury time board, argue its a load of bollox but its just funny how we can get 7 mins turned into 10 when most weeks, games will go by with similar stoppages and they get 3 mins if they are lucky.

10 mins is normally for a leg break or a serious head injury and that today was a complete fucking joke.

Even the pisscan would have been embarrassed by it.

I thought he had a decent game. I think there was one or two tackles second half which he got wrong, but I think a large part was the team was so poor 2nd half they took it out on the ref. 7 minutes is absurd and wouldn't be given in the same shoes at Stamford Bridge/The Lane or Old Trafford, which is what pisses fans off, the fact they will play to the letter against us but turn a blind eye to others.
