Leicester post match thread

Fuck knows what happened after they scored their first, but they threw caution to the wind and stepped up the pressure and we just seemed to lose our discipline and the plot too.

KDB and Silva were responsible for a load of errant balls which gifted LCFC possession time after time which meant the ball just kept coming back at us. LCFC's football isn't pretty, but they're tireless and effective and posed us the same kind of problems they posed the PL last season. Their pace up front continuously troubled us at the back and showed the issues we need to address in the summer.

I thought Yaya was deservedly MoTM and kept our midfield moving when KDB & Silva started losing their way. Our first goal could have been offside or awarded, but it was a close call that thankfully went our way. Our penalty was clear and so was theirs albeit TV replays showed the contact was outside the box initially.

When we were clearly on top in the first half, again we failed to make our dominance count which would have cost us if Mahrez's penalty hadn't been a double kick. All said and done, it was a match that won't live long in the memory, but we got the all important 3 points which is all that matters at this time of the season.....

Roll on Tuesday!

Fortunate today but it's been a while since we could say that.

Clichy, Sterling, KDB well-off and almost everyone else a bit frustrating for long periods. That being the case we did well to take home the points because Leicester, despite being a bunch of twats, won every 50/50, were far more energised and mobile, and scored a cracking goal.

Ref did well to spot the double-tap because otherwise he was consistently utter garbage.

I thought he had a decent game. I think there was one or two tackles second half which he got wrong, but I think a large part was the team was so poor 2nd half they took it out on the ref. 7 minutes is absurd and wouldn't be given in the same shoes at Stamford Bridge/The Lane or Old Trafford, which is what pisses fans off, the fact they will play to the letter against us but turn a blind eye to others.

Like I said you can't argue against someone doing it right, if I had even the slightest interest I could watch it again and add up the subs and injuries and any time wasting but can't be arsed as we won. People have slated the major decisions in the game on here and if they were being fair and logical it doesn't stand up. The anti city thing is getting very boring now. We have had some howlers this year but people have gone mad. Every fucking game on and on and on.

Get a grip we look like spoilt twats.

Yes it is, and I posted that you don't think stats are important.

The mental condition comment is cute though.
You've proved my argument on stats today. How they can be total bollocks.

According to you, probably only you too, Kdb was immense. Then reel off stats.

If I was you I'd let it go. He was utter fuckin shite mate, I'm his biggest fan too.

I don't think WIlly had much to do. It was a very scappy 2nd half with City not knowing whether to attack of defend. I thought Mahrez was quality. Vardy a bit disappointing. They are a good team though. Obviously still a team used to winning, and don't give up. At the end their players sunk to their knees, they were gutted. You don't see that very often.

Im not talking about major decisions mate, its the seemingly small ones. The free kicks in their favour whilst they kick our lads to fuck. The 50/50's all going their way. The advantage rules that seemingly only ever go one way. The corners given where its clear to even Stevie Wonder the last touch was that of a Leicester player and finally 7 mins, yes 7 mins of injury time that suddenly becomes 10.

I agree with you 100 per cent blue...ref let them dirty fuckers kick shit out of us and gave us fuck all but couldn't wait to give free kicks against us.
It's cheating but done very craftily and Pep needs to start making a shit storm so they think twice about it...can you imagine the GPC letting it happen and no comebacks on the ref...no fucking chance.
We did well to dig in and overcome the 12 men

Not read through anything.

Leicester are just shite. Kick it 40 yards, use the pace they have, get it in the corners for Mahrez, win the 50/50s, win the 2nd balls, kick shit out of everyone but become out and out mard arses when it's given back.

Can't stand the twats. That ain't football.

Weirdly, someone else's opinion is that Silva and KDB were both immense. I can't see it. Silva was average and unable to influence things second half, while KDB was rancid. However, he still has that ability to do something magical even when playing badly.

Overall, it was a strange and frustrating afternoon. Another 3 points is what matters, mind.

Yeah we won the game but in my opinion it was dull, especially the 2nd half. Not a Mancini fan at all. I'm comparing the quality of players between 5 yrs ago and now. And today's lot are not as good. We haven't improved. Letting a mid table outfit like Leicester boss us for 50 mins is quite ridiculous given the quality of players we are meant to have not to mention the money spent. KDB has been sussed. Any team prepared to get right up him and he isn't interested.
That's rubbish. 1st half was all City. 2nd half was scrappy game, but Leicester didn't boss it. City just didn't control possession like we normally do and the game was very nervous with Leicester being just 1 goal away from a result for 45 mins. Leicester are also a good team. KDB had a really poor game. That's true, but the comment that he has been sussed is ridiculous. Top Assists in the Premier league.

there have been some very poor decisions, and some where even statistics indicate there was something amiss in the game, but the inconsistency alone is a huge problem.

The goal they scored was top quality. A lot of long ball football, but they are good at what they do. Very physical and Mahrez is as good as anyone there is one on one
