Does anybody know what the story is with Jovetic today?

Fuck knows why he's not even made the bench, he came on at Roma and looked decent.

Hopefully it doesn't spiral out of control and be Nastastic 2.0.

Im always going to struggle with this rotation bollocks.
The team looks plenty good enough on paper but its one that hasn't played much together and one in which we have two key players returning from injury.

I'm never as confident without Dinho and/or Milner. The only real 'grafter in that side is Fernando and there is a worrying lack of pace.

might not need that pace you're talking about as they'll probably be stuck in their half for most of the game

I don't know why everybody's flapping, thats a very very good side. Remember we won the leauge and fa cup playing Nasri and Silva in wider areas... And besides we have Navas Milner and Kolarov on the bench if we decide we need more width

And I know we have 2 players coming back from injury but I doubt they'd start if they weren't judged fit to, and we have plenty of options on the bench to replace them if needs be :)

Who will play alongside/just off Edin?

Silva probably

He won't. He will be wide, Nasri other side. Lampard will play in the advanced midfield role.

I'm happy enough with that,

Me too. Lampard is smart so he will drop back and help midfield if he needs to; although it is conceivable that MP will send them out as 4-1-4-1, with the intention of having a very advanced midfield but I think 4-4-1-1 is most likely. Then again, we might get a surprise and Lamps will sit back with Nando. Interesting team selection. Don't know enough about LCFC to figure out if Pellers has spotted something about them that has drive. This team selection but I suspect it is more about rotation.

Got to have a knock, cant be tired.

Might have got injured in the last training session , hopefully its just a slight setback.

Nothing against Pozo but we need Jovetic over the festive season.

Dzeko cannot carry our strike force no matter the opposition in every game.

Obviously can understand Kompany, Yaya and Silva coming in but taking Zaba and Dinho out is asking for trouble.

esp. Fernandinho. He is a big part of our recent upturn and Fernando, Yaya and Lampard are hardly the most mobile.

Anyone else nervous? Being a city fan has taught me to always worry and the fact we've won 6 straight games is making me feel we are due a loss/draw. Anyone else? Or am I just a pessimistic arsehole? Haha
It's part of the job description. We've been let down so many times in the past, you come to half expect the proverbial kick in the bollocks. To be honest, for a lot of blues my age (52 today, and I know how Yaya feels; no birthday cake from the club. Pfft.), it's not been easy to get used to us not being shite any more.

Happy birthday you old fart.

Most of the time anyway!
Unfortunately, I am an old fart.

It's a blow losing Jovetic but still the line up is strong enough to get the 3 points.

Although hes not wasted out wide I would imagine Silva would be best played alongside/just off the striker akin to Munich last season.

Especially as hes just returning from injury so a lot of running back to help his fullback should surely be avoided.
