Especially those that totally fuck up their visas and have to leave said country yet strangely enough dont quite have enough money for the flight out, 15 days into their 6 month trip.....

Bank of mum and dad has usually been misrepresented as a bank.
Seems that payback terms are simply not on the agenda so hardly a bank contract, more like a write off like Greece and the EU.
In fairness they usually have absolutely no idea how to earn any money to pay back and asking for any scheduled repayment plan complete with income and existing expenditure causes massive friction with she who must be obeyed so trying to tell them they cannot afford the so called loan just causes arguments.

Lent 10k to close friend last year. Got 12k and a Wi with fitness board back 2 weeks later. Proper mate.

True mates don't take the piss, so I don't mind lending them money because I know I'll get it back. If they do take the piss without a damn good reason then you cut them out of your life even if it's over £20 because it's not the money, it's the principle.
