Lennon a wife beating tory **** who pretended to be a hippy living in a a mansion and craving fame and fortune.

McCartney was a vegan before it was a trend so dodgy but I will let him off.

Plus wings were decent

Anyway Harrison was better than both

Tory ****?

He did knock his Mrs about but then showed remorse, admitted it and committed to turning around his character.

Tory ****?

He was a **** and yes voted tory, amd a a barcacist.
His treatment of his son would in modern terms
would be classed as emotional abuse.

He sneered at people he bieleved were beneath him,

Also this man who became a recluse and changed into some peace loving profir of a better world ha ld a walk in chiller room in his mansion for his amd Yokos fur coats.

The song so eulogised by many as the epitome of elder Lennon Imagine was to him a money maker and thesentiwmnt people find in it irrelelvent

But I always like this from one of the biographies

An older friend, the Beatles' former personal assistant Neil Aspinall, once heard Lennon moaning about the costs of running his business empire. 'Imagine no possessions, John,' Aspinall said. Lennon glared back. 'It's only a bloody song,' he said.

Besides Ray Davis was better than both of them.

Don’t want to speak ill of the dead but the internet is littered with information on her being a deeply unpleasant person when the cameras were not rolling. The reality of her “Scouse girl next door done good” act was very far removed.
That's complete bollocks, my best mate sang back up for her on heaps of tours and he describes her as one of the nicest down to earth people you could meet.

And 99.9% of Beatles fans fail to credit him in discussions like this, then get arsey when people dare suggest that L & M weren't really all that without him.

But the thread is about Lennon or McCartney, not Lennon, McCartney or Martin. Personally I wouldn’t dispute his role, even the band called him the 5th Beatle, but that wasn’t the topic.
To suggest songwriters with their talent were 10 a penny and that they are a couple of cunts is beyond ridiculous.
