So bonnuci would reject over doubling his wages?

Looks like it mate....Laporte did the same, as we were offering him a few million more a season to sign with us....no one really knows but if you believe rumours, Juve going to offer Bonucci 1mil euros + bonuses extra to sign a new deal, so he's going to get a nice payout either way...

I did yesterday 60 million for a 29 year old too much , I would rather have a younger hungrier player that want to win things become club legends and be here for years .i am concerned someone like him just wants to renegotiate his Juve contract or come here for a big final pay off .
I don't mind the odd experienced player but we have to many at present , we need youth and hunger and desire .
I am sick of watching us being out fought and overrun .
I get it that he is quality unjust wish he was 25 or 26 simple
It's having the quality, experienced players in the right positions that's important and CB is without doubt the area most needing an assured hand. If you've watched Bonucci then I'm sure you realise that your worries about a player being out fought and overrun are without foundation because he will bring both in spades.
There's justification in worrying about over spending on older players or thinking the average age is too high but once Kolarov, Zabba and Yaya are replaced I think you'll find we've got a very healthy squad in regards to experience and youth.

Some fans on here should possibly think about supporting Arsenal if they are so worried about signing young players.

No matter what approach the club takes there are fans who will never be satisfied. We go for John Stones and Sane and people will complain that the likes of Denayer and Roberts and academy graduates will get overlooked.

We then sign the likes of Nolito and again people complain that he is not very good because he is 29 and playing for Celta Vigo, not Barca or Madrid. Although, those people conveniently excuse the fact that he got in the Spain side ahead of the likes of Mata and Cazorla.

Then we are linked with genuine world class players such as Bonucci and Suarez and people then complain about their age and the fee.

Before people moan about the next possible transfer here are a few things to keep in mind:

The transfer market is hugely inflated. Sides like Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and West Ham can afford to spend £30+ million on players. There are players in the Championship moving to other Championship clubs for over £10 million;

Pep is here for 3 years and he whilst he will want to leave a long lasting impression on our club, his main aim is to bring instant success. If Suarez and Bonucci can play a leading role in the next 3 seasons then of course he will want them.

We need to think about the instant future, not the next 5-10 years. The more successful we are now, the more appealing we will become in the future.

Hopefully we will get the squad balance right that is my concern , I have no doubt about Bonucci has the necessary quality experience and battling qualities . I just want the others that have given up so lamely replaced and the squad age lowered if as you say three or four out and a couple in that is fine
