Holy shit!

We apparently offered Bonucci €7m a year wages as well according to Di Marzio.

But looks like there is not much chance Juventus sell if they have rejected that big offer for 29 year old defender.

Could be a tactic by City to push the Stones deal along...
Spot on,in my opinion that's what it is,he's apparently told Everton he wants to join us they start to play hardball over fee,we turn our attention to bonucci and hopefully they panic over being left high and dry with a player no longer wanting to be there...

No chance, unfortunately.

But we wanted Stones AND Laporte so I doubt it has any bearing on the Stones deal.

What I dont get about this, is that we make an official bid for Bonucci and we hear about it "same day" but nothing for months on any bid for Stones?

City's offer for Bonucci was lodged today but Juventus consider the Italy defender 'non-transferable' and said 'no'. [@DiMarzio]
probably because we havent yet made official bid for Stones. Everton would have surely leaked it.

Not sure if the Italy v German game had taken place at the weekend when Soriano was interviewed and mentioned some players we were looking to sign were still at the euros. Maybe Bonucci was one of those players?

Juve have publicly turned down our first bid, but the way City carry out their transfers these days you would imagine for us to put in a bid there was sufficient encouragement from the player or his agent that he wants to come. This would be an amazing signing if we can carry it off!

Hi mate...I agree and I guess thats what is so frustrating...why would we take so long before showing our hand?...seems like Everton have agreed not to hold onto him for a 2nd summer and he's told them he wants to go and wants a move to us...feels like we trying to slow this transfer down?
