As much as I would love to see us sign him, I believe he's one of the few players who are impossible for us to sign. I believe he's too important to Juventus for them to even consider selling him.

No, that's why I said "the majority" And "probably" because believe it or not, it is possible to get an estimation of the general opinion of football fans.

Unless the only people you speak to are fellow blues, you must know that a lot of people don't think Vinny is anything like the player he was at his best in 2012 anymore, after 4 years of injuries and Pellegrini's defence.

I really don't think it's an outrageous thing to say, and definitely not worth your reaction.
 
If Banucci was to come to England I would have thought Chelsea would be will in the mix with the Conte connection. As people have mentioned this would be an extremely complex deal. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but what a signing this would be!

Just got in and a few pages added since I finished work,got a message saying we offered £51m.
Is that right or bullshit,anyone?
 
Most non-city fans don't see Kompany as one of the best best defenders in the world. He used to be there, but he hasn't played nearly enough in the past few years to be considered that. He has to prove that he still is. He is basically where Ledley King was a few years ago.
 
Not sure why people are complaining about his age. Italian CB's seem to age really well.

Italian players in general tend to last longer at a high level. If we sign him, he'll be our top man for AT LEAST three years.
He's exactly the type of tough bastard we need right now.
I'm hoping the idea of a peaceful life for his family in England appeals. Remember, it's not that long ago someone attempted to rob his family at gunpoint.*

Italian players tend to last a long time when they're playing in Italy. But then so do a lot of other players. He is probably the best defender in the world, but I'd be amazed if we'd be willing to pay over £50m for a player that we'll probably get about 4 years max at the very top level in a league like ours.
