I always remember being a kid a playing for a local team who weren't that great. We would get beat every week and there were 3 or 4 of us who would be on the bench for almost the entire game, every week without fail. My dad challenged the team manager one week, asking him why he never gave any of us a chance. The manager's exact words were "What do you want me to do? we're getting beat 8-0, i'm not gonna put the subs on and get beat 12-0". I always hated that c*nt!
