I think it's shit.
As if you know what a podcast is let alone how to work one. Luddite.
I think it's shit.
What does that wind up have to do with Sane?If after being told for 3 years that Pellers was shite and we only had to wait for pep to arrive before things improved we 'take a step back' this season and DONT immediately vie for the title until the last weekend of the season I will be disappointed.
Infact, more than that, I'll be furious.
The best squad in the league, with more millions spent on it, Chelsea starting from miles behind us, Utd starting from miles behind us, Arsenal being Arsenal, we must expect to win the title.
A shite manager won it in his first season with a worse squad than this, and apparently a dysfunctional squad too.
The best manager in the world, if he is that, must win it this season. Or he is a failure, surely.

That's a good point and I think Mourinho loves to manage big egos rather than go after developing young players.
I think that's why the longevity is there with sides Pep has managed and isn't with those Mourinho has. Mourinho gets instant success through big name signings mixed with hard working players that graft. He makes his teams hard to beat and expects the big names to win the big games for him. It works but ultimately other players demand better wages, squad players grow frustrated at lack of playing time, and young players move on - and they're often of a decent quality and prove themselves elsewhere. Aside from Real, who had the cash to cope post-Mourinho, all other teams have suffered from a period of rebuilding once he's departed.
With Pep he wants a team of champions. He doesn't want one player to win all of the plaudits. It's a team effort and he's not bothered about who gets the goals, who is the star, he's bothered about how the team plays in order to win games. He analysis players and sees strengths others might not - that leads to several changing position but excelling, or at least developing skills that help them when they do play in their preferred position.
We've seen this already in our youth teams. Strikers playing on the wing. Full backs playing at centre back and so on. It's about giving them skills in their all round game that will help them long term. Henry for instance was bought as a wide forward before becoming a centre forward. He never ever played as no.9s of that era used to. He moved about constantly and most of his goals were scored by him running at an isolated defender from a wide position, beating him and slotting it past the keeper. My memories of him seem to be him scoring the exact same goal more or less at Highbury game after game.
Fluidity and the ability to have more than one trick to your name ensures you can beat teams. If the opposition are successfully crowing the centre of the pitch and Aguero can't get the ball, it's about making sure others utilise whatever space subsequently appears. Sane fits perfectly into a Pep squad and in general I'm excited to see what Pep spots in our players and how he utilises them.
In general I don't expect City to be shite at any point. Inconsistent for a small period perhaps but I think we'll be fine. Most of us saw what Pellegrini was trying to do, and at times it was brilliant. What seemed to happen was that the team stopped playing the same system. Some players were pressing, others were not. As Pep has said, if the whole team fails to play the same system together it falls apart and that's what we saw so often where the opposition could play one or two passes and be right at our exposed centre backs.
my specialist subject :) must tune in.That's really very kind. Cheers. New episode of the Agenda should be out tomorrow lunchtime.
