Incredibly fast, powerful player. Great dibbler. Poor finishing, worse shot technique than sterling, but that will improve. Overall, i wouldnt spend 40 million when we have roberts, barker, nemane, and of course brahim in the youth system.

Never in a month of Sundays does Sane have a worse shot technique than Sterling. Sane also pretty much single handedly gave his Schalke side the chance at beating City, he's well ahead of Barker and Nemane won't ever reach Sane's level. Roberts could and Brahim may play in a different role.

Yes. It irks me when he loses the ball doing his silly little moves. I just watched the video someone posted, and he did some pretty nice work with his speed and movement. Perhaps he could make a jump like Coman.

But watching him this season, I often left thinking, too soft. But I'm hopeful, coz we need 2 wingers in my opinion. Or 1 and Isco who can play on the wings.

That's the beauty though, being soft or over playing are probably 2 of the easiest things to rectify in a young player. Cristiano Ronaldo was both. Sane has the ability in spades, don't care what anyone says but I'm 100% of the belief that Sane is better than Sterling and will always be better.

How does he compare to Roberts? Not seen much of Sane, but from the videos available all I can think of is a good dribbler with decent speed who's very left footed but still pretty raw on the end product - looks like a German version of our own Roberts. Given that Roberts is younger I'm not sure I've seen what must be drawing us to him.

Sane with 9 goals 7 assists in 42. Roberts with 6 goals & at least 2 assists (games I've seen; whoscored doesn't count assists in his matches for some reason) in 11. Obviously different standard of leagues but still, a comparison point nonetheless.

Theyre kind of similar, Sane's obviously taller and Roberts seem more gung ho dribbling most of the time whilst Sane can often slow it down and maintain it that way. He's very much a German footballer in that sense. Both still developing but Sane of course has the experience if playing bigger and better teams. Roberts is tearing up the Scottish league to be fair to him, him and another young lad Tierney have been their best players towards the end of the season.

How did you come to that conclusion when he has one full season behind him in a league few of us watch?

Watched Youtube. Notably quick and elegant for a 6 footer. But Sterling and Roberts both very good prospects too

Not denying that, all 3 are prospects but Sane has a much better technique, touch and dribbling ability than Sterling does. When I watch Sane, I think, this lads got it, some errors in judgement, could be more aggressive but they can be worked on. When I watch Sterling I think, poor touch, poor control of a ball, could be more aggressive, inconsistent, the latter 2 can be worked on and you'll probably see a better version of Sterling from just a tactical reshuffle and more confidence but the sheer basics of football, Sane has it over him. Passing, control, dribbling etc

Sane is not currently a better player than Sterling was at Liverpool. In fact he's not as good.

Great prospect, plenty of flaws currently. Imo Barker would be as good or better if he'd been promoted to first team football at the same time & IF he had the same desire, which we don't know because it never happened. Sane is now miles ahead because he plays proper football every week, as is happening with Rashford etc & even Jack Byrne.

Biggest difference between him & Roberts ? Pace.

Would be an exciting signing but no guarantees with it. Would effectively be playing a kid in the team with all the ups & downs that entails.

Barker is absolutely nowhere near the level required and will never be. He's heralded as some wonder kid on here yet I've never seen anything to suggest this.
