Leroy Sané

Sadly, I have long ago concluded that it is not in the best interest of young players to Join top clubs.

Ours included. Barker's disadvantage was that he didn't have a midtable club with less talent at the experienced level that was willing to fast track young talent. Sane had that and will probably go farther because of it.

Unless you are Messi good as a youngster, you generally never get enough playing time at big clubs. I mean look at DeBryune. He probably would have ended up an average player if he had stayed at Chelsea and sat behind more experienced internationals.

It is a hard question really.

Chelsea also have kids who I think could have made it & now maybe won't.

Hopefully things will change at City now. Meanwhile I think Sane will get people off their seats if he signs for us but he will probably blow hot & cold like any kid.

Just posted this on twitter rumours but felt it was better in the Sane thread... Dont know the source but seems to have alot of followers.....guess we'll find out soon if its true or not....

Just been informed that City's first signing under Pep has been completed and will be announced in the coming days.

I've been told that it's Sane. We'll see.

Barker is absolutely nowhere near the level required and will never be. He's heralded as some wonder kid on here yet I've never seen anything to suggest this.

Got to agree with this.

He is probably a championship level player, maybe lower.

Not for me he's just a foreign version of Sterling much better out there and proven in PL such as Mane or Sanchez.

Perhaps we'll get one of them too. Like I've been arguing for months, Winger is our weakest position.
