Correctthere was no foul for that injury
He was poorly placed to see the actual incident as it occurred.
It's a difficult one bringing in VAR for tackles so I don't think anything can be done during the game but retrospectively as was the case with Thatcher a stiffer penalty can be applied and should be to circumvent the stupid yellow card rule.
This won't stop Sane making a recovery of epic proportions though.
We can cry all we like but bad tackles have been and always will be part of the game.
Absolutely. This "ref saw it and took action (i.e. yellow card) and therefore nothing can be done, is quite the most ridiculous rule.
The FA needs to seriously ask itself, what sort of football do we want to encourage in this country? Fast, skillful players with quick passing, great movement and moments of brilliance? Or a bunch of cloggers hoofing the ball forward and flattening anyone who has a modicum of talent? If the latter, carry on.
We can't include that, as I remember it the contact just made him lose balance, barely a foul and just terribly unlucky, if anything I blame their club for not watering/thawing the pitch enough as the frozen hard pitch was the reason for him doing the splits. He was kneed in the back of his thigh, that's what made him do the splits
Just an observation, i saw the knock on Jesus as an indicator of the physicality and closeness the whole league decided to incorporate from that game onwards, the only way to beat us Murphy said, aided and abetted by that thick twat Collymore and those snidely managers Pulis,Warnock, Pardew etcWe can't include that, as I remember it the contact just made him lose balance, barely a foul and just terribly unlucky, if anything I blame their club for not watering/thawing the pitch enough as the frozen hard pitch was the reason for him doing the splits.
It's not comparable to Sané's and it would only damage our case to lump things in that don't hold as much weight(they will focus on that to dismiss the rest), choose our battles wisely as they say.
There is no agenda. There is an agenda out there to kick us,no other team comes anywhere near us on our day,its the best football ive seen in over 40 years, yet so many challenges are being descibed as clumsy ,mis timed, accidental,
I call bullshit where there is intent,or dangerous play, players are getting yellows, you get the same punishment for a shirt pull.
Kanes tackle on sterling, deli alli,on de bruyne, joe bennett twice last week, all with intent to endanger an opponent, all yellow cards,
What a joke,Mason is inept and so to is bobby madelly, yet they get games week in week out, they are shit referees.
Said it further back in the thread,City as a club should take a lead and take joe bennett to court for damages, and seek compensation for Sane's wages while hes unavailable to play, players will soon change there minds, when challenging to hurt delibrately an opponent, wankers.
Delle Alli kicked sanchez delibrately at wembley yhe other night and grinned, got a yellow, what a Joke...
