True but if you just look at each of the other 5 nominees, even with two being City players, it's not even close.

There's literally no argument for any other player to have won it over him imo.

They’ve both been excellent. I’m just happy a Blue won it. I’m sure if Sterling had got it then some would probably complain that Sane had been overlooked!
 
Both wrong I'm afraid. De Bruyne for being the best player in a team on course to break 100 points and set a new goals scored record and Sterling should have got YPOTY. If Pep doesn't win manager I'm out.
 
Raheem gets remembered for the stinkers like Burnley and United - the keeper was much better but there is bias against 'keepers.
 
I’ve supported Raz since he signed no matter how much shit he has got from city fans as well. However, Sane is the player who when he gets the ball gets me off my seat. He is so exciting to watch. The clattering of seats when he runs up the wing can be heard very clearly. It was a fantastic performance today and yet a little bit of me missed Sane. Sterling has been brilliant as well but Sane is a very special talent indeed. Well done Leroy!
 
Bit sad that there are more posts bemoaning Sterling not getting the award than there are congratulating Sané for getting it.

Couldn’t have put it better myself,unfortunately only one person can win and it was sane so well done to him,sterling has had a fantastic season as well at least it’s a city player that has won it..

As brilliant as Sane is...and he is. We wouldn’t be in the position we are in terms of winning the league (so early) without those key raz tap ins around the tense crimbo period....so for me i feel sorry for the lad...but pleased for Sane
