Lescott for Left Back?

Well people have been saying to give him a go as left back, plus hes hitting some decent form atm. could just fall into place.
I'd put him there

please dear god no. I dont want Toure anywhere near that pitch, liability is an understatement.

Leave Lescott where he is, hes playing well. Bring Zabba back or even play garrido. He did nothing wrong when he stepped in before.

Could even play barry and then would break up the problem of playing him and De Jong in the middle that sits too deep. Could bring ireland back if he will sort himslef out or even Viera play.

NO !

This has to be the last thing we do. Joleon and Vinny need as many games together as possible at centre back. We have not had a settled back four all season. Stick Zab there.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leave him where he is and bring Barry back into defence or play Mad Zab there.

Breaking the best CB pairing we have had for a long time not the best move TBH

It's one of them break up Lescott and Kompanys partnership or risk having Garrido or Sylvinho at LB it's a tough one be we need as much strength as possible to break into top 4 with it being so close. I feel Cunningham lacks experiance but worth a shout for the bench I've read alot of promising things about him especially from Toure.

I'd say Garrido as I like a natural left footer at LB (plus his free kick ability is awesome). Next up is Fulham who will play Duff cutting in from the right, quick and nimble, so right footed Zab could be a valid option as he's physical enough to win the duel.

Leave Lescott at CB. Ideal world Toure not on the pitch, back maybe worth giving him a chance again but in the RB position. Left back either Garrido or Barry (long term ideally none of them)

Now Bridgey looks likely to be out for rest of season with a hernia opp maybe Lescott should play left back with Kompany and Toure in the centre???
Has anyone else noticed how many times Mancini likes to change his left back during games? It's usually 3 different LB's per game (Bridge, Zab, Barry). And normally it's NOT due to injury! So it wouldn't surprise me if Mancini starts with Zabaleta there. During the games, he will then move Barry there, taking off either Zab or Richards and bringing on a midfielder. Sylvinho will then come on for one of the midfielders and play LB, with Barry going back into midfield. Towards the end of the games. Garrido will then come on as sub for Barry and will play left back, with Sylvinho moving into midfield. Sylvinho will then be knackered and have to go off. His final sub will be to bring Toure on for Sylvinho, move Lescott to left back and move Garrido into midfield, with Toure playing centre back. Or something like that.

But being serious for a moment, i'd be very surprised if our back 4 isn't:

Zab.....Lescott....Kompany....Richards

Quite a few shouts for Garrido, I like the lad but personaly I don't feel he is a defender more of a midfielder at LB he gets caught out of possition way to much and the opposisition manages to ping it to their RM far to easily for my liking. Judging from peoples replies maybe Toure, Kompany, Lescott, Zab then??? But again for me Zab gives away so many stupid free kicks in dangerous areas.

You have to look at the opposition and see if they have a decent right winger.

If Spurs get Lennon back in time for our game against them, it would be lunacy for Garrido or Sylvinho play left back. Same against Stretford with Valencia/Nani.

....We could possibly get away with Garrido or Sylvinho against Birmingham, Wigan and Burnley and leave VK and JL as the Centre Backs. Maybe even Fulham....

It would be an easy sell to Lescott 'n all: 'Look, England are struggling at LB and your not first choice at Centre Half....a few good stints at LB could get you on the plane'.

The fact that Toure is still the Captain and a £15m player with a great deal of experience may make this a no-brainer for Mancini.

Maybe missed nail and hit thumb!
Probability is Mancini will go for Zaba for least disruption and bring Vieira into the midfield.

Agree with those who say leave Lescott where he is, he's been excellent since coming back and is getting better every week. Decent understanding developing too with Kompany, although Vinnie was a bit off his game last week.

Don't want to see Barry there either, rather he stayed in midfield, but we've got enough cover with Zabba, Garrido & Sylvinho. Cunningham is a good prospect, but probably a bit too soon for him.

I really think we need to persevere with VK and Lescott at centre back. They seem to compliment each other well and a bit of stability in the centre of the defence is crucial. Garrido is dire at defending imo and Sylvinho is way too slow for the Prem. Personally I'd pick Zab there, I think he has looked our best left back this season when he has been put there during games. But Barry can do a reasonable job there too although again, pace (or lack of) could be a real issue in some games.
