I'd take that for Joleon , his knees are knackered due to a little " incident " he had with a few unsavoury characters from his Wolves days which kept him out for a season , he still has to ' icepack ' his knees after every game , so £18m , cash up front and Jo on the cheap ... yeah , I'll have that , Jack Rodwell will be a far better C/B than Joleon anyway and Jags already is the better of the two . Incidentally , no transfer deals get done at Everton without the presence of Davy Moyes who's currently on a family holiday in the USA .. oh yeah and Joleon is also on holiday in Dubai .. so don't expect a signature anytime soon ... All this Joleon talk makes a transfer window change for us blues .. It's normally Cahill and Arteta that are leaving ,,... every year for 5 years we've had that .... BORING !!!!! I personally would take City's cash with a smile , £13m profit + Jo , and I'll personally thank joleon and wish him well ... and let Moyesy have a bigger bite of the transfer market , I mean he ain't done too bad with an average nett spend of £3m/year for 7 years !!

Blah Blah fookin Blah!

This last week we are jokers with no chance of getting him!

He is the best thing since sliced bread and your jewell.

No way will Moyes let him go.

Thanks for your best player lar!

It wasn't me who said you wouldn't get him ! ... and our player of the season was Jagielka so I wouldn't say joleon was our jewel ! he's a fine player and will improve your defence , and knock a few goals in as well , ... but Jags is better and Jack Rodwell will eventually go for about £35/40m maybe more he's that good and is only 18 ,
If you can look back on a few Wolves forums from 2005 you'll see all the gossip about Joleon and how both of his knees were " injured " .. and its well known fact the season wolves spent in the prem , Joleon was out injured for the whole season , .. personally I don't care what you think , its a good deal for Everton and if his knees hold up , a good deal for city , he's far better than anyone you currently have in that position and in fact is also a better left back than Wayne Bridge .. You've got a few bob , enjoy it , don't be so bitter . who knows ,one day you might even finish 5th ! just behind us .... :)

I'll stick my neck out and say the deal will be closer to £25 mill .
I can't see Jo on loan being too much of a bargaining tool with Yakubu coming back , plus a probable striker on top .
£18 mill with Jo on top as a signing I'll go for , but not as a loan .
There is still a chance that he'll stay though .

The is not a chance that that Lescott will stay. The money will also help you keep Rodwell for a couple of years until one of the big four take a fancy to him

everybody is happy then? it seems city are not ruining football, were making it more fun for other teams too (except united)

Indeed Heaton , throughout the history of the game there have always been teams better off than others . its how the opposition cope with that handicap that makes our national sport so popular , you'll always get fans jumping on the Manure nited and red shoite pool prawn sarnie bandwagon , It just means moreto the real fans

Moyes has proved himself very canny in the transfer market, so although he wouldnt want to lose Lescott, I'm sure he sees the deal as the more acceptable way of bringing cash in ( ie better than selling Cahill Arteta or Rodwell ).

From our point of view, Lescott is exactly what we need.

Not only are you runing football , you're also ruining Christmas .
You bought Santa ffs .
Next it will be the Easter Bunny and St George .

Re: official move for Lescott today...

Its a done deal he is going and the fee wont be over £18 million. Looks like you get Jo for a season on loan though with an option to buy at a knock down price - Fulham have offered around £8 million so assume that will be the option fee.
