Chairman Bill Kenwright has worked tirelessly to get the best deal for Everton, achieving a substantial increase on Manchester City's initial offer.

substantial increase on our INITIAL offer of 15mil, me thinks the fee will be 20 plus couple of mil in add-ons.
considering Rafa was trying to buy Upson for about 17mil then i think it is only a couple of mil over his true worth in todays marketplace.

Totally agree.

4 england regular squad members in team now.

swp, bridge, barry, lescott.

should come in handy when michelle twatini brings in his new anti english rules.

Ricards and Onouha for under 21s as well. Oooops forgot about Hart (strokes chin) maybe time to start supporting England again!!!!!!

Which rule is this? If you're going to make the claim lets here you back it up with facts please.

And if Moyes is saying no, and Kenright is saying yes who determines whether the rule has been broken?

Article 17 (5) any person subject to FIFA statues and FIFA regulations (club officials, players’ agents, players, etc) who acts in a manner designed to induce a breach of contract between Professional and club in order to facilitate the transfer of the player shall be sanctioned.’

In layman’s terms, if the manager of club ‘A’ (City) says to the media ‘I want to purchase the star player (Lescott) of club ‘B’ (Everton), he should leave his contract and play for us’ then the manager is in breach of FIFA’s statutes and regulations, and is unsettling a player or, ‘tapping up’ the player.

So when you said that when a club says a player is not for sale any other club is obliged to drop all interest in him, you were just making that up.

Right?

Anyone seen page 303 on bbc text?

Moyes saying that he can't believe Everton have had to wait this long for the deal to be done!!! WTF YCNMIU!! TWOT!!!

Not for me ;-)

(Unless you were talking about cricket, but I doubt it)

Chairman Bill Kenwright has worked tirelessly to get the best deal for Everton, achieving a substantial increase on Manchester City's initial offer.

Why would a chairman work tirelessly to get the best deal on a player that wasn't under any circumstances for sale?

Is someone telling porkies here?

aside from all this i would personally just like to say....

"Well done Joleon for having big enough balls to hand in a transfer request and practically go on strike, all in order to play for God's Own MCFC."

"Welcome to our great club."

Same thing happened with Rooney, didn't it? They're a selling club with debts, must piss the fans off.
