With are main player out injured who would have been the diffrence....Arteta who is twice the player of any of your midfield. They were 5th best last season - just about. And the season before. But Spurs were 5th a couple of seasons running and much closer to breaking the top 4 - look what happened to them.
Arteta, Yakubu and Jagielka all have very serious long term injuries they are comming back from. As we have unfortunately experienced all too often ourselves cruciate and Tendon injuries can easily finish a players career and when they do come back they are often not the same. I wish them well they are good players but they are unlikely to be the same and perform at the levels expected moving forward. Part of the problem is that Everton wear out their decent players as their squad is so small !
One swallow doesnt make a summer, they have a poor fan base, facilities this is not in doubt, no one has shown any interst in buying them because of this.
No funds to improve the team and an ever shrinking squad. If they need to come on this forum and rack up 1000+ posts in a month and get the charity and support off a few city fans (and players) they need all the help they can get. Good luck I say you are going to need it !
Still not had a reply as to why they cant sign a championship full back with no experience when they are such a big top 4 side.....
