Thank You. However I feel there is a lot of animosity towards me at times, probably born from other Everton posters on here.

I've enjoyed the debates and banter i've had on here with some posters however feel my presence is irritating a lot of people. As such this is my last post.

Good luck with the new season everyone! Hope we can have a good battle with you at the right end of the table.

I have no problem with Everton fans or any other fans of different allegiance for that matter. It's when they start blatently slating our team for no apparent reason where it gets annoying.

Sorry to see you go TA. Always worth a read.

No suprise though as a few of our members on here find it difficult to accept that fellow City fans hold different opinions to themselves let alone a fan of another club.

It is becoming more and more like a bullying forum than a football forum.

Everton are a humble club, we accept our position in terms of money and not being an elite force these days, but if we did suddenly become rich we'd spend a lot less, build more gradually, and be a lot more subtle about it. Your business plan is the polar opposite to what ours would be in the same situation. Our manager would never buy someone for £100m even if he had it. He'd build a good young team without the need for superstars, or certainly not a team of them. I think thats what irks a lot of our supporters. Maybe we thought your team had the same values as ours, and then all of a sudden your driving past in a amazingly expensive supercar flicking the V's to everyone you used to know.

So let's assume for one minute that Everton would go for the youngster approach....you can't really rely on home grown talent so you go around and snap up all the really talented kids/youngsters from other teams which will upset those fans....so other fans from less fortunate teams will think...Everton a team that come over here lording it with there cheque book and take our youngsters off that we have spent years nurturing...so would you be perceived as being a stalwart of fairness? nope. and is it really jealousy? I don't think so....it's people wanting a level playing field and I for one don't blame them, we have been there, when the back pages were filled with our "stars" leaving to the "big" clubs of chelsea, liverpool, arsenal and some other shite hole of a club whose name escapes me....and it's bloody horrible and frustrating because you know there is nothing you or your club can do about it.

So when it comes to giving chelsea etc a bit of there own medicine....hell yeah...i'm a big big fan and i will happily crow about it
