I worked in Liverpool today and they will be gutted to see Joleon Lescott leave but as in terms of a bid, i would use Jo as bait to get him.

£10 mill + Robinho should make Everton stand up and take notice .

I didn't realise the whole club was for sale!

you could buy the whole of the City of Liverpool for that much! ;-)

Yeah I'm watching. Just out of curiosity, how highly do the Everton fans rate Pienaar? I've always thought he was quality.[/quote]

il answer that one. hes very limited/average. wouldnt get on our bench next season, not in the same league as Petrov never mind Robinho. Not the worst player in the prem but hes not in the top level of players and not even the level below that although some rave about him.

Re: official move for Lescott today...

Everton fan here, as I'm sure you can guess from my username. Anyway, in terms of Lescott he is one of the best defenders in the country there is absolutely no doubt about that. He's been here for 3 seasons, his first and second were absolutely brilliant with him getting our player of the season in his second and last season he did well, but received a lot of criticism especially in the media due to a handful of mistakes he made in the first month of the season, for the rest of the season he was top notch but Jagielka outperformed him in everyway so he didn't get much praise for a good season, but he really did.

I can actually see this happening too, which I'm gutted about but if we can string you for £18mil plus Jo, I won't be too gutted despite us losing one of the best defenders in England. In the past when Arteta has been linked with a move away, he has came out that day and categorically said he is staying, as has Pienaar and Cahill. There was some twobit story on our site the other day saying "Lescott stays" but if anyone actually read the story, you could see that he didn't say anything of the kind - alls he said is that he is not going to force a move away.

We obviously don't want to sell him but it'll lie down to the player so I'd expect some news on it within the next week, if he wants to go then sound but I'd rather he said early rather than on the last day of the transfer window like a certain Wayne Rooney.

Just read the last couple of pages on here and seen someone call Pienaar limited? Absolutely PMSL, very limited indeed. :|

Anyway, good luck next season - hopefully without Lescott. I can see you replacing Villa in the top six most certainly and I'd expect you to be our main threat to hopefully breaking the top four.

Who are the reliable posters on here regarding transfers to your lot anyway?

Pienaar has always been a skillful player and highly creative , but in my opinion lacked the final piece in his own personal little jigsaw .
He plays on the left , but is actually a right footed player .

His opportunity to shine came just after the injury of Arteta , and has since took the opportunity with both hands and opened the eyes of many Evertonians .

He is very similar to S W Phillips in his style of play , and his partnership down the left with Leighton Baines was one of the major factors in keeping our season promising .

'Possibly' Evertons best football player regarding creativity and dribbling skills when playing well , and easily the best performer of the 2nd half of the season in many eyes .

Not the most prolific goal scorer , but has been putting that right with some better shooting , and was voted player of the season ( on most votes per motm over the year ) at toffeetalk.com , obviously despite Jags and co being injured .

I would now class him as an essential player within the Everton make up who is getting better all the time , and has won many individual awards in Africa such as Athlete of the year etc etc .

Talks like a 25 stone docker lol .

whats latest on this guy? remember some 1 saying he is coming city? or was the person who said it just bull shitting

There's no way that Moyes will let him go as he is a big part of his plans.
