Or actually if you were able to you could always list where you think i'm wrong and construct a valid argument to back up your case... bet you wont tho will you?

I can't speak for all the Everton fans on here, just myself but I dont come on here because i'm worried, I come on here to chat to footy fans about the Lescott situation. If Arsenal were trying to buy Arteta i'd go on their site and check out their thoughts etc.

I know that anything i've said regarding our manager or team has always been in defence of them after a City fan has either been derogatory about one of them, or at the very least misinformed.

I could ask you to explain why:

a) there's so much hostility on here towards Everton fans
b) why some fans on here seem to dislike Everton. Its not everyone i'll admit but some seem to really dislike us because we haven't got a lot of money and city does. Is it just not cool to like a team without endless resources now your club has them? I'm sure a couple of years ago you'd have probs looked at our club as a great template for City to follow

it's cos of knobs like the everton fan on here last night (had lescott in his user name, got banned) coming in talking shite, not rational people like you or darker shade of blue, IMO

No problem i will give you my opinion of maybe why

a) I think there is a deep set Manchester/Liverpool thing that surely you know the history of, after all we are the real Manchester team and you the real Liverpool team.

b) I like most City fans only hate Man Utd, however i am getting fed up of fans of other clubs (not yourself but in general) coming on our forum and digging at or slagging off our club, we are obviously going to defend it esp on our own forum. Some of the abuse goes too far i agree, but the hostility is now months of this, not just weeks, some members are bored so they become a little too hostile.

A lot of fans have said how well run your club is, so there is a balanced view on here, in every group of people when opinions are involved, there are always some who oppose your view and take that opposition too far. You should know this if you go on so many forums.

Fair play, I hadn't realised so many of our fans had been on here and for so long. I've only ever posted in this and I think one or two other Lescott threads as i've no interest in any of the other ones.

I'd probs get pissed off with City fans if they invaded our forums causing havoc so I'll cut some of the posters on here some slack in that case. I thought there was just a few of us who had posted in this thread, we get people from other clubs forums doing that on ours and they're usually well received... I guess there's some background on here though that I wasn't aware of until now.

This thread has a misleading title - it no longer has anything to do with Lescott, and is completely useless in its professed function as a focus point for information about the soon-to-be City defender.

It should be called 'Toffee Chat', or something like that, and be transplanted to off-topic, where it can assume its rightful place alongside the 'Whats everyone listening to now?' thread (or whatever else there is that lurks down there) - it has no place in a transfer forum, as it patently has fook all to do with transfers!

I'd probs get pissed off with City fans if they invaded our forums causing havoc so I'll cut some of the posters on here some slack in that case. It's not helped by the state of siege we're feeling under given the snide remarks that are continuously aimed at City in the media. Not just opinion pieces but embedded in articles. The Guardian report on terry last week said 'Terry might want to go to city so he can lose in the 3rd round of the carling cup' - just out of nowhere in a report! Implication is that City are forever destined to be a joke and how dare they try and upset the apple cart. Patience is thin because of this sort of thing too, don't take it personally.

Thats an appauling piece of journalism by the gaurdian! Sounds more like something you'd expect to read in the Daily Star or something!
