Lescott is a definite, all the personal terms are agreed but it might just take JL to ask for a transfer and therefore forfeit his 5% cut of the transfer fee - a sum of money he can recoup in the space of a few weeks on his new bumper salary. I am led to believe this is true by a close friend who goes around with JL and friends back in the Birmingham area. Like a lot of City fans I would welcome Lescott but I would not want to sacrifice Ned as part of the deal unless Ned desperately wants first team football and wants to move to Everton. There again, depending if we get Terry (doubt it) or Toure, Ned might still be first choice for City.

Think it's been said in another thread JL is a cash no deal....no Ned included.

If this happens, we can almost certainly forget about Lescott being released by Everton FC or indeed wanting to leave. We should instead concentrate on Toure. Just watched a re-run of Arsenal v Chelsea from May 2009 and he was awesome. Played much better than Terry.

If a member of the Abu Dhabi Ruling Family tells a Dubai-based businessman that he wants something, he usually gets it!!!

Absolutely right 100% Cash......If we were going to deal we'd have done it with Jo! Nedum is more CITY BLUE that JT is Chelsea!

Whats the chances of Robinho switching to the new erm new force in English football if this goes through then eh? If the guy brokering the deal is Robinho's agent then he might have a word in his ear and tell him to join a far superior side...

Of course i'm just messing when I say this before the torrent of abuse starts lol!

As much as i'd love for us to be taken over I can't see it happening. Bill Kenwright doesn't want to sell - He wants someone to come in, invest billions but leave him in charge of the club?! No-one will ever do this and he wont sell outright, so I doubt these rumours are true.

Would be interesting if it did happen though!

If this did happen then it would be interesting to see quite how hypocritical come of our recent visiting Evertonians would be following their "dirty arab money" comments......

It all depends on if these new guys are Abu Dhabi royal family rich, or Dubia invester rich. Seen as its a Dubia invester i fully expect this man to be on par with the likes of the new man taking over at Pompey (Estimated £3Billion?) Unlike a certain Mr Rich with £550 Billion worth of oil and Royal family behind him :)

Although, i don't care, aslong as united don't get taken over!

That will never happen, don't you remember, they're not for sale.

Yeah in all fairness I think the type of takeover that happened to you is pretty much a one off. I'd still take someone with £3b though. Its interesting to think that a couple of years ago someone buying a club and having a fortune of £3b would have been seen to have been "uber rich", where as now I think we all think... hmm £3b is that all! lol!

I don't think Robinho would consider playing at a club where the fans spat at him.
