Whats the chances of Robinho switching to the new erm new force in English football if this goes through then eh? If the guy brokering the deal is Robinho's agent then he might have a word in his ear and tell him to join a far superior side...

As much as i'd love for us to be taken over I can't see it happening. Bill Kenwright doesn't want to sell - He wants someone to come in, invest billions but leave him in charge of the club?! No-one will ever do this and he wont sell outright, so I doubt these rumours are true.

Would be interesting if it did happen though!

If it did happen though and Lescott stayed, it would only be for the money.

I don't think Robinho would consider playing at a club where the fans spat at him.

Was about to post that myself - I don't think he'd forget the treatment he got from their fans in a hurry - seeing his face when he was being spat on in the pictures from the game, he looked absolutely disgusted with them, and rightly so!

Yeah appauling behaviour! Not sure why or how that happened as its not how our supporters behave, and not how any teams supporters should behave. No excuses for it, and I hope those people got banned from the club!

If this happens, we can almost certainly forget about Lescott being released by Everton FC or indeed wanting to leave. We should instead concentrate on Toure. Just watched a re-run of Arsenal v Chelsea from May 2009 and he was awesome. Played much better than Terry.

I do find in quite funny that Everton fans have been the loudest in voicing their disgust at our money yet their chairman is the most vocal in whoring his club out to the highest bidder/investor. Now there is a chance it could happen I await the instant backtracking on how more investment is good for the game and will allow them to compete with the likes of Pompey and Villa.

Now there is a chance it could happen I await the instant backtracking on how more investment is good for the game and will allow them to compete with the likes of Pompey and Villa.

Oh I dont know, I might like to see Everton and ourselves in the top four at the expense of red scouse and the rags. It would be excellent entertainment watching them choke and expire on their massive debts.:)

well I for one would love it to happen - I can think of nothing better than a few 'loaded' clubs - not burdened with debt -stepping in and establishing a 'new order' - lets not just see arsenal drop out of the top 4 - lets see the scum and liverpool as well please - lrts really shake it up

Come on give it a rest! We finished above Villa in both seasons Randy Learner's been in charge.

I don't think there's even any digust in the money your chairman has, just things like bids for people like Kaka thinking money can buy you anything.

Investment is good for the game, or its bad for the game depending on how many people have it. If its just City then its just another team with resources that the rest can't compete with. if its City, Everton, Pompy, Villa etc its good for the game as it means teams are challenging the "elite 4". I would love to see what would happen to the likes of Liverpool and Manure if they failed to qualify for the Champions League for a few years. They've saddled their teams with so much debt they'd implode dramatically.

edit - damn looks like other people had the same opinion as me but can type a bit quicker... apologies for just writing pretty much the same as them.

I never stated it wouldn't be a good thing, just the hypocrisy of their fans is what has made me laugh. I welcome everton getting investment but the way their fans have reacted to us with such spite and bile has made me think they don't deserve it the way they used to.
