I never stated it wouldn't be a good thing, just the hypocrisy of their fans is what has made me laugh. I welcome everton getting investment but the way their fans have reacted to us with such spite and bile has made me think they don't deserve it the way they used to.

i think its been a reaction to the way a section of the City fans have acted since they got the cash. I think we always saw City as a good old fashioned down to earth club with passionate and "proper" fans.

However since the cash rolled in they've behaved somewhat like a London club crossed with Newcastle United.

Like i said its a section and as i've been on this forum since the Lescott saga kicked off i'm able to see its a minority rather then a majority

I don't agree at all. Since day one Everton fans have been the most vocal in crying about it, before any City fan had the chance to become arrogant. In my opinion the arrogance stance has only devloped as a defense mechanism towards the hissy fitters.

We have not changed as fans as a whole! Sure you get people talking rubbish, but honestly hand on heart I can say it's meant as banter. I truly believe we have not got big-headed, we've been through too much too forget who we are.

Honestly, how would other teams react?

If i may interupt the whole lets discuss evertons takeover/none takeover. Isn't this a city forum and isn't this a lescott thread. I know there slightly linked but come on no need to go into this much detail.

Well i haven't been here since day one so i guess your better placed to judge then me. On our forums the animosity stems from certain things that have been said by City fans, or an unrealisitc expectation crossed with the fact they think they've arrived before they have. Like i say i'm not of the opinion thats a majority of the fans though, most just seem genuingly excited about the future and who can blame them?

Not sure why our fans have been giving you grief, probs something to do with the british mentality of loving to see people fail rather then succeed. I think a lot of other teams fans love Everton and what we've "achieved" under Davie Moyes. Chances are if we suddenly got 100 gazillion pounds to buy anyone we wanted eveyone would suddenly hoped we failed to.

Because Evertonians wouldn't be winding Liverpool up if they were rolling in the money would they? You wouldn't get any acting the idiot on internet message boards either.

Of course not.

We buying Lescott or what ?
Can understand the Terry saga dragging on as he's a huge name etc etc etc but Lescott isn't in the same league.
Offer £20m, if they turn it down then move on, we shouldn't have transfers for the likes of Lescott dragging on for ages.

I actually take great exception to your comments. Each club has an element of idiots, yours perfectly illustrated this by acting like barbarians in their behaviour towards Robinho at Goodsion. Whilst some sections of City fans have gotten carried away with our situation you will not understand the level of prejudice, abuse and pure hatred directed at the club from all angles since the takeover.

Take a look around the 606 boards, the abuse is boardering on obsession. In fact the whole media spectrum ranging online, printed and TV currrently are reporting pretty much nothing other than news about City. That's not arrogance, but the truth. The world is obsessing over us. Going back to the abuse directed at us, then none other than your very own Everton board is probably the worst offending set of fans. Why is that? Simples, nothing other than jealousy. If the takeover at Evertons goes forward then I for one will be delighted as this will then open up the another two of the North Wests big teams , ourselves and Everton, to the higher reaches of the Premiership. Or at least the possibility of such.

Maybe if the shoe is on the other foot, Evertonians will become a little less holier than thou, as the Portsmouth fans are currently having a 'situation rethink' due to their good fortune.

Fair enough, maybe it'll take us all a little while to adjust to City having so much money now.
