JohnD is just a prime example of how oppostion fans are now...

Bitter at our wealth
Biased and blinkered by their devotion to their clubs (nothing wrong with that)
And worst of all - they believe everything they read in the shitty red top Newsrags and hear on Sky and Talkshite!

Simple truth is we made two bids - both discretely and Everton and Moyes decided to make it into the Circus it is! The only time Hughes has mentioned it is to answer a direct question at a press conference and only then it is to say that he doesn't want to talk about it!
As for the head turned by double your wages crap - we've not spoken to the player - how can we have offered him that... but I suppose because the Sun or some other daily bogroll printed it it must be true!
I mean, even Cahill and Saha have publicly come out and defended Lescott saying he's done nothing wrong. Moyes is the only tw@t in this whole scenario - I think he may have lost the changing room at the minute, which he's admitted to doing in the past. All the other 1st teamers are now thinking what will happen when they wanna leave.
And the bloke is the world's biggest hypocrit, because I can guarantee that when baconface retires, if the Rags came calling he'd be out of goodison quicker than a scouser has a car stereo!
I've never really cared either way for the blue bin-dippers, but their attitude on here has really got me disliking them and their shitty little club.

Perfectly put!

I Second That

we dont need all this name callin between clubs the bottom line is lescott is coming to us now maybe 5 weeks later than it should of happened but its a massive deal for everton to weathers its 21 mill or 25 you can do your buisness now and we should just look forward to the game when its arranged.
I hope Lescott shows a bit more respect to EFC and their supporters than Moyes has done towards the player. Whatever the player has said /done, you keep your reaction private.

I agree with that. Moyes is a great manager but he needs to learn to keep things in the family. Lescott might well deserve what Moyes is doing, but Moyes should not have made the public announcement on his attitude after the Arsenal match, nor should he have implicated other Everton player in his rant.

Oh, and to the person that said I'm jealous of the wealth, then I'm not. I was actually for Lescott going at the right price all along. So I would suppose that makes me pro-City's wealth, seeing as we can benefit from it.

He's in South Africa, not the U.S.

So Lescott and Riquelme it is then? Hughes says that Lescott is "not necessarily" City's last signing.

I think you are generalizing about Everton fans..so what you are saying that there is no way you tapped him up? Whats your opinion if its proved you made an illegal approach?

If proved guilty then clearly my opinion would be, 'we are guilty'. I wouldn't like it to be honest with you. I'd like to think we act properly, and I believe we have.

That said, agents are always trying to get moves and deals for their clients. I'm pretty certain things were said via agents, even it was just 'ask Joleon does he fancy a move to City, we'll increase his wages but we can sort that later'. That goes on, you'd be naive to think it doesn't. I'm pretty sure Everton targets get asked exactly the same question. But I think a key fact in all this, is that Everton went public, and Moyes made sure it stayed public throughout, trying to make us look like the bad guy.

Re the fans, to be fair whenever I've met Everton fans they've been sound lads. But the goons we've had on here for the last two months have been arrogant and a bit annoying.

The latest tirade of abuse in which it seems all of you have contributed is because a dodgy sunday paper says we will report you.But if and im only saying "if" we can prove you made an illegal appraoch to the player do you think City are above the premiership rules? What do you think should happen?

I have to admit i was suprised Moyes resisted so much..he isnt stupid and knows how this works. I think he knows something and decided not to let you get away with it...just my opinion as opposed to fact.

If guilty mate then so be it, we suffer the consequenses, no matter what they are, but my point on this is this.

Not one singlr transfer conducted in football will ever be legal again and all clubs will be guilty of so called tapping up!

To think that any club goes to the trouble of scouting, creating reports and bidding officially for a player without first knowing that the said player is, 1. For sale at the right price and 2. Interested in any move to the bidding club is deluded.

Moyes has given us the How dare City bid for a player so close to the end of the window, yet he now talks about getting in players quickly before it shuts?

It is hypocrisy of the highest order and i would say the exact same thing if it was City behaving like this.

We have made an offiiall bid for a player in line with the rules of the PL and if you think you have eveidence to the contrary, then please present it.

Like ive said my problem of late is the EFc fans on here giving out nnothing but abuse on our own forum, fine, say what you want on your own but on here i ask that you be reasonably polite and you keep it real.

Just a general question but if for arguements sake its proved Man Utd tapped up Torres and eventually signs him. What should happen? I mean actually proved not just a club saying we suspect. Should it be brushed under the carpet?

Contrast Pearce's public reaction towards SWP when he finally pulled out of a pre-season friendly at Macclesfield to Moyes reaction to Lescott when he handed in a transfer request.

morning wante mate..the bickering seems to have got worse.. when its simple really, while i dont know and i doubt anyone here does, IF we broke the rules and its proven we will not like it and will expect like anyone else to be punished for it, weve seen at he rags how theyve poached before now and slagged them for it.. if we have its wrong and will be dealt with but lets keep a perspective like someone says, its one transfer dealing handled badly imo by both clubs, things said by both that shouldnt and has caused all this friction, calm it people come on

Its you bitter fucks who make this forum an unwelcoming place for fans of other teams.[/quote]

This is a forum for City fans!

Other fans are more than welcome but if they choose to come on giving out abuse against our fans and club then they will get all they deserve, as will people like you who feel the need to side with them!
