good points as its whats happens but all could be argued are irrelevant if the club in contract with the Player / Manager state categorically "He isnt for sale" but the buying club state in the media we arent giving up. In the meantime the media are in possesion of the Salary details...then both clubs play tit for tat making their own statements in the press.
To my memory i cant remember us persuing a player like you did with Lescott when been told not for sale...though i could be wrong.
But he was for sale, obviously, thats my point.
Every single player in the pwrld is for sale, they all have a price and i would have backed Moyes if he had said straight away, i dont want to sell but he has a price, one that suits EFC and it is £**M!
But he didnt, he painted himself into a corner whilst behind his back, City was getting lots of encouragement to bid for a player who did have a price, despite your manager going to the press stating he was never for sale and that we where acting disgustingly!
We said he would see his arse on this and we were right, just like we would if say Robinho decided he was off tomorrow!
When a player wants away, that is that and to try and keep him is ridiculous and EFc have seen that in the last week.
Us buying Lescott form you is no different to you buying Taylor from Newcastle, it is a business deal but to make it personal like Moyes has done will haunt him for years imo.
