good points as its whats happens but all could be argued are irrelevant if the club in contract with the Player / Manager state categorically "He isnt for sale" but the buying club state in the media we arent giving up. In the meantime the media are in possesion of the Salary details...then both clubs play tit for tat making their own statements in the press.

To my memory i cant remember us persuing a player like you did with Lescott when been told not for sale...though i could be wrong.

your tit of a manager (who makes all the decisions) said not for sale.

but unfortunatly for you and goody goody for us your chairman dares to differ !

Manager or Chairman.............Who's the boss?

Maybe DM should have had a chat before opening his big fucking mouth to the world!

He's just pissed off because he looks like a right T**T now!

IMO

Yes i agree but this seems different you have to admit ,in the press we were telling you no!!!
why would a player put in a transfer request if he is going to burn his bridges ifthere is a chance the other club would pull out....i think you tried to steamroller us.

No, I don't think it is. Every player has his price and we just had to find it. What was unfortunate for Moyes (although I suspect Kenwright will see it differently) is that City are able to keep going higher until you say yes. That's not meant to sound arrogant, it's just a fact. Call it steamrollering if you want, or call it economics, or business if you like. Two years ago if we'd offered £18M and you said 'no' that would have been the end of it. But we're a different animal now, it seems we are being persecuted because we can keep throwing money at you 'til you accept. And let's not forget that the player wanted the move!

I think we could go round and round in circles with this and its irrelevant now , ill defend my club and you will with yours. Sorry to see him go but very happy with the price...our ITK reckons its between the £22 & £25 million reported price just hope we do some damage with it.

As you lot move on in the coming years i really hope you go after ( with your shoddy transfer tactics) Torres and take him off the Kopites now that would make me happy!!!

Lets face it forget you Adebayors and Tevez's he is the best and who you should be looking at!!!

I doubt if Moyes will see half of it. I think the reason the deal has been done so late in the window is to prevent Moyes spending it.

Nice idea but he's already had a few pops at us in the press over the short time he's been at Anfield - even if Liverpool's financial problems do come to the fore - I can't see him wanting to make the trip down the East Lancs.

Maybe. It's self interest, but that doesn't mean rules were broken.

Seriously you've got a good deal. If Kenwright doesn't have the funds to inject into the team then there comes a point when selling Lescott makes sense. 12 months go when Everton started badly he was getting stick .

You could argue that Everton have just been squeezing City for every £ and were aware that City would pay almost anything for the playe

I am aware that the money does not make everything right, but it's not an un-equal transaction. In fact most neutral fans will probably think you've got a good deal.
