It's Wes Brown!

To give credit to the OPs post, I dont think the fact that he has played a couple of games is relevant, hes not a new player like Jo that we dont know anything about, we have all seen him play for years.
I also think lescott was massively over priced and rate him/dunne/upson all on the same level, added that he is more versatile, but you defo wudnt get that price for either of them,

I think we still have a defense suffering from too much brawn and not enough footballing brain but it is a huge improvement on last year.

I have no doubt he will do will but i dont think hes the 20m+ revelation signing that ppl regard him as........Plus his knee is completely crocked but clearly our new medical staff dont check knees anyway eh Roque?

For all our fans that berate Richard Dunne (who was a 9 year loyal servant), with 'not top 4 material' quips, I will give you 6 months maximum before you are posting your Lescott out threads, a good but not world class player.

It was very quiet over the way he, not under pressure of any kind, passed the ball from his centre back position out left of the box and straight to a Pompey player. If they had a goalscorer we would have been punished right and proper with a goal, instead of scraping it away because they balls upped this golden chance Lescott handed to them.

He will get exposed by Arsenal and Man U, he was only worth £10m at the very maximum.

If he was offered more pay by Chelsea or Man U, he would be away in a shot.

Some people need to learn that loyalty is often better than better skilled fly by nights, just like Hughes as a player.

During his playing career Mark Hughes was most noted for two spells at Manchester United, but he also played for FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich, as well as the English clubs Chelsea, Southampton, Everton and finally Blackburn Rovers, before retiring in 2002. No wonder he does not recognise the value of loyalty.

Idiot

Ok, lescott hasnt performed flawlessly so far and made some wrong passes that has put us under pressure, but i have noticed 2 things that he does differently than dunne:

1 When he heads the ball away he can actuallty head it to a teammate rather than just away in a random direction.

2 His passing is better, usually on the floor and to a teammate, he doesnt just hoof it upfield aimlessly.

This is perfect, my first post so I was looking to sneak in without being torn to pieces and enduring loads of rag jibes. Then some chump comes up with this nugget, cheers fella.

What?
he was being sarcastic

Spoke to my brother in law earlier in the week who is a life long Everton fan and season ticket holder.

He brought up the subject of Lescott not me and unprompted said we have a top notch player there he is much better than Terry, hes not missed a game for two years, cant blame him for leaving and that we will soon see what a top player he is!
