LESCOTT OUT

ooops just remebered Arsenal already humiliated him at Goodison a few weeks ago. lol

Why do you hate a player who plays for your club? Can't you just be happy?

Can't people just enjoy the game of football?

Why am I asking so many questions?

For all our fans that berate Richard Dunne (who was a 9 year loyal servant), with 'not top 4 material' quips, I will give you 6 months maximum before you are posting your Lescott out threads, a good but not world class player.

It was very quiet over the way he, not under pressure of any kind, passed the ball from his centre back position out left of the box and straight to a Pompey player. If they had a goalscorer we would have been punished right and proper with a goal, instead of scraping it away because they balls upped this golden chance Lescott handed to them.

He will get exposed by Arsenal and Man U, he was only worth £10m at the very maximum.

If he was offered more pay by Chelsea or Man U, he would be away in a shot.

Some people need to learn that loyalty is often better than better skilled fly by nights, just like Hughes as a player.

During his playing career Mark Hughes was most noted for two spells at Manchester United, but he also played for FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich, as well as the English clubs Chelsea, Southampton, Everton and finally Blackburn Rovers, before retiring in 2002. No wonder he does not recognise the value of loyalty.

Can we not just give Lescoot a chance before we start telling other posters how they'll all be thinking "Lescott out" in 6 months time?

The positive way to look at the situation would be to say "he's a good player now-but playing with better players will make him into an even better player."

Still,it's all about opinions I guess.

Sad day. City management need to do one. Hughes is disloyal etc. The adjective "legend" is debased in an orgy of hyperbole. All over a single decent player and the cult of personality surrounding him. Even as I write, there are Blues putting forward names for the next Mr. City and others engaging in pre-emptive strikes against anyone who might not thump the tub of their love interests.

Fnar fnar, uncomfortable image, Brucie.

I quite agree, by the way.
