Wow... you guys have run out of things to throw back, at us, in football terms, so you've reverted to 80s stereotypes? Good job, lads.
Anyhow, there's not much chance of you signing Lescott. Regardless of how rich you are, the fact remains that it would be suicidal for Moyes to sell one of his only three centre backs so close to the end of the window. There'd be no chance of spending what little cash he'd get anyway (provided Kenwright nicks it all to pay back loans)... and besides, not every player will join just for the money. Players like Kaka, with the loyalty aspect, are few and far between in the game nowadays, but they do exist, and currently Lescott is one of those players.
You've bought a solid keeper in Given who will, no doubt, start to gain you points, no matter how bereft of confidence your defence looks currently. He's kept Newcastle in the Premier League for a good few seasons, that's for sure!
If we do manage to loan Jo off you, then it's a no lose situation for anyone. We get a striker who hasn't really been given a chance to impress in this league. If he does well, then maybe we'd buy him and you'd free up space for another striker, or you take him back and start playing him. If he isn't good enough, then he returns to your club.
