Lescott, Terry, Toure, Alonso

Lescott is a cert, Terry is waiting for a pay rise from Chelski and we got more chance of winning the champions league this season than signing Alonso.

I'd take the lot and add Bosingwa to the list as well. Bayern have been after Bosingwa all pre-season but won't meet Chelsea's asking price. In my opinion Bosingwa's better than what we've already got at right-back and if we don't ask, we wont get but by the law of averages the more of theses type of players we go in for, the more chance we have of landing 1 or 2 of them.

I couldn't give a shit that people think 'we're ruining football', I've got 30-odd years of hurt that needs to be healed and a bit of retail therapy as a cure would do very nicely!

Terry and Lescott and then we are sorted.

Not too bothered if we don't get Alonso or Toure tbh. Both decent players but not too fussed asbout having them

Which one - i think the guy at Bolton is a very good centre half - and we'll never get Tim either

We should go all out to get Lescott - not too bothered about the others (although Terry would be a great leader)

didn't the one from bolton have a bust up with barry in the england squad last month

i think that whoever we get will be from the prem any way.

lescott--90% done deal
terry--50/50 could go either way
carvalho--is too old and would be stupid
toure--possible
hangerland--would be good for us cheap and not signed a new deal yet

Na. Goodison too much of a chip shop for a kick off. But even if it's true, so what? I get the distinct impression that nobody in the history of football would be able to outbid us just now and nobody means to try. The Pompey thing is weird anyway because they don't intend to spend much and seem to be having a fire sale, for some reason. Their stadium being a dive is not helping matters, apparently. Evilton have similar problems.

Wonder why the Notts County people didn't buy a prem club, btw?
