Lescott

well, i know that a lot of people, me included[/u, completely wrote him off the first few months that he signed for us and he wasn't playing well at all to be honest.

But i thought i would write a topic to declare that I am a big member of the Joleon Lescott Fan Club.

Admittedly, i thought in the first 20 minutes of today's game he looked a bit dodgy, but he seemed to get over that, and took his header very well as well, and proved that we actually don't need any more defenders and i cant see Kolo getting back in the team at all.

I think he is genuinely a class act and that he can be at the club for the rest of his career! he and kompany do go well together!

Also a VERY big fan of the number 6 shirt for him!

Opinions anyone?

i think hes doing a crackin job, hes come good under Mancini and im pleased.

Gonna take something from Kolo and Savic to shift him.

I agree, big fan of Lescott. Bit shaky to start with but he's flourished and is working really well with Vinnie. Top draw partnership there.

Agreed think Lescott has really upped his game over the last year. To think how much he has improved since some of those horror shows under Hughes.

Lescott is ok, its just one tiny little thing, everytime he has the ball, im 2 seconds away from a heart attack.

Lescott is awesome player and I'm hoping he can grab a load of goals from set plays this year.

Until we find a player who can defend as resolutely as him but is better with his feet, he's a starter for me. But Savic looks like he could turn out even better and if we sign Coates then there will be a real dogfight for that spot.
