Lescott

love the guy a genuine class act that actually care for the club, always worked his heart very on and off the pitch, It saddens me to see Lescott's unappreciated, his game improved just need it games play and fans-luvin to boost his confidence, do respect him

Quotes "Last season was frustrating. I worked so hard to get the move and I feel I didn't repay the club as much as I would have liked. I believe I can repay the club if I am given the opportunities. I didn't want to come here and win things but not play." - Joleon Lescott

On the OS Aguero admitted that he can't do everything. None of the squad can do everything. If Joleoninho starts, I want him to defend, which he has taken to doing rather well over the last half season. He pairs superbly well with VK. I don't expect him to get the ball off JH and dribble, Puskas-like, into the oppo penalty area beating players with Brazilianesque twinkling toes and rifle a shot into the top left hand corner. It is clear what the limits to his game are and in those he is solid.

I must have been watching a different game, thought he was very poor 1st 25mins, scored a good goal, then never got close enough to any of the rags forward players. Then again I also think the same cow,d be said of Vinnie as well.

exactly. he does what he's there for and unfortunately he just wasnt doing that the first few months! But he has come one leaps since then and im very happy with him at the moment... to be honest im happy with the defence that we have! yesterday was just one of those things really and we have proved that we have a great defence...

yes there's questions over kolarov sometimes but vinnie is immense.. even if he did have an off game yesterday.. and micah is going to be BIG.

anyway, enough about them this is a lescott thread ;)

joleon does 100% give to the club and thought it was proven aswell by how happy he was with his goal yesterday!

He's been really solid defensively since the turn of the year.
Still a little shakey on the ball, if you watch him carefully you will spot that alot of his passes 'bobble' to the player he passes to.
He has a downward motion when he passes it, creating this effect. He needs to iron this out

looking at yesterday's game whenever anybody had ball at feet there was very little in passing options no one in space etc so not really surprising some players wasn't comfortable on the ball. Also a lot of poor passing meant more touches to get the ball under control hence players who were in space got closed down before the ball was under control and possession was lost

you didnt see his bobby Moore esque style tackle on Rooney then...

best tackle of the game.

Absolutely 100% nowhere good enough for where we are going

He's a footballer, who can't play football
