What an excelent thread. I have just come across this thread and feel proud to be Blue. We might moan and woman on here about other teams and other fans but I have just seen the picture of the Leeds fan and felt so moved. Football is nothing when these lade are giving everything.

Below is a very sad song written by a Scot who emigrated to Australia. He wrote the song about Gallipoli but it is still so very true. To all those in died in Afghanistan Iraq and all other areas of conflict R.I.P. You will not be forgotten.

Just Googled his name, and found this from Christmas 2008 on the MEN website:

Kgn Sean Dawson, 17, from Stalybridge: ‘Hi Mum and Dad. Hope everything’s OK at home. Sorry I am working over Christmas but it’s got to be done. Home soon and I will be 18 YES! Anyway hope the kids are OK and hope you like your Christmas in the cold because it’s hot up here ha ha. Can’t wait to come home and see you all and be with ya this will be my first away and for many to come. When I get back we can go for a pint. Love you all loads.’
