Trying to get my head round the reason for the dramatic drop in form , we never had anything like this under Mancini or Pellegrini.
Seems to coincide with Pep signing a new contract.
Did some of the players have one foot out of the door with the uncertainty?
Do they realise that it’s more of the same having run through brick walls for this club?
We are obviously saving our warchest for Txikis replacement - not a cat in hells chance Khaldoun has taken his eye off the ball.
What is certain , is that these players are mentally shot , it inevitably was going to catch up with certain members of this squad.
Rico despite his faults brings much needed energy to this team - but he can’t do it on his own , the kid never stops running for this club, trouble is the players around him are physically and mentally fucked.
This is all to do with , in my honest opinion , that Txiki is leaving , great clubs rebuild , Ferguson did it , going two seasons without a title , now is the time to support the players , manager , and our owners , or are we going back to typical “temple of doom” City ? We are lucky that a season out of CL football is counter balanced with the club World Cup revenue .
