Was Henry vii born in 1517?

Nope...1517 doesn't have any direct relation with Henry but it definitely...let's say...inspired him

Martin Luther nails the 39 articles to that church door ?[/quote]

I didn't cheat...otherwise i'd have got all of them right. No point having a go if you google everything. Some of us know a little bit about History.

Most people in this thread have cheated. Also the point remains, history is not a test of how smart blues are. The title is blatently wrong.

Your proof on the cheating? as i said, some people actually know a bit about history. Just because you have the brain of a small invertebrate doesn't mean other people do.

I'd be willing to bet large sums of money that I'm far more evolved than you.

Anything to do with the Church? When was Luther around?

Got it mate! Couple of people have said it since I last checked but you were the first, 1517 was when the Protestant Reformation kicked off.

The only one nobody's gotten so far was what (besides Columbus) happened in 1492.

The answer: End of the Spanish Reconquista, after a couple centuries (I think it was upwards of 800 years) the Spanish managed to kick the last Muslims out of Spain

Ok, some more as we are all having fun (apart from some miseries):

In which year:

did the Spanish Inquisition officially finish?

did the Titanic sink?

was Adolf Hitler born?

did Churchill die?

did Alfred burn the cakes? (Bread? Chicken livers?)

did Julius Caesar invade Britain?

was the Battle of Bannockburn?

I freely admit I don't know some of these, so I for one will be Googling the answers to avoid embarrassment.

did Julius Caesar invade Britain? 54BC and 55BC

was the Battle of Bannockburn? 1314

I guess I win the best at googling prize.

Fine I'll try and add something to a thread that doesn't seem to have deviated from the subject of history yet (not looked at every page mind). Mine will take on a more science/maths/logical thinking tone.

Q: Would you be injured if halfway across a power line you decided to dangle with both hands directly touching the same power line?

Q: You are in a field and lightning is occuring. There is a pine tree and a birch tree of the same size. Which one would be better to stand under? What would be the best place to stand?

Q: As you approach the speed of light, what happens to mass.

Q) In a sauna if somebody puts more water on the heating device, does the temperature increase?

Q) What is denser, water or oil?

Q) What is Einsteins famous equation and what does it prove?

Q) What temperature is twice as hot as 0 degrees celsius? What temperature is twice as hot as -20 degrees celsius. Hint in white writing at the end of this sentance (think what temperature is a measurement of)

Q) Can you exist in two places at the same time? If so explain how it is possible.

Q) Two suns of the same mass, one releases twice as much light intensity as the other, which sun releases the most energy?

Q) What did Einstein refer to as his "Biggest blunder"

Q) If you can't see a black hole, how can you observe one?

Q) Is pressure inversely proportinal or directly proportinal to temperature?

Q) Can lightning travel upwards?

Q)Why were cane toads introduced to Australia and why have they become a problem?

Q) Would aliens bear any resemblace to humans?

Q) What wouldyou experience if you existed at the point where the earths centre of mass lies (ignoring temperature and presuming it was a 10x10 box containg oxygen rich air).

Q) Presuming we live in a flat universe (although evidence suggests we don't, a flat universe stops expanding but doesn't start accelerating back to the central point) What would happen if you were to go to the edge of the universe and then travel into what apprently doesn't exist yet

Q) If soldiers are crossing a bridge why is it not advisable to walk in sync with each others steps?

Q) Do plants release CO2?

Q) If a mass of 100kg strikes an object at a speed of 20mph it produces a force of 7902N. If the object is 200kg would this force be double? if not what would it be? If the speed is doubled would this force be doubled but mass remains at 100kg? If not what would it be?

Q) Can you prove the existance of gravity?

I've just come up with these off the top of my head, not even sure the answers will be on google. Feel free to try and answer them if you wish. It'll be interesting if anyone comes up with a different answer to me.
