They have been awful for well over twenty years now. Euro 96 they showed glimpses and the qualifying with mcfadden going mental, but that's been about it.
To think they were a lot better than england a few decades back. Now england are absolutely shite, scotland are still as bad. How does that work out!?

Though his position became completely untenable in recent weeks, this really is a case of shutting the barn door after the horse has done a runner, got pissed on jaegermeister & sugar cube shots, bragged how he was the guy in Zorro, knocked up some bird woke up with a killer headache, done a runner again, emigrated to Bolivia, joined a cartel and dropped of the radar permanently.
Note to SFA - having 'finished mid table in the Scottish Premier League' is not a desirable quality for an international manager.

Seriously though, how depressing is it to have Gordon Strachan linked as the favorite and savior of the national side? This is a guy who failed in the Championship. Though Slurgie hates him, so he's not all bad, and could be a different story at international level.
