Level 2 for small away following ?

I always include this topic in the fans surveys that the club email out. How many others on here have, and will the club listen ?

It'll just be the same as when we have moved the away fans to the third tier for champs league games . Full of people that won't sing regardless of where they sit . It would only work if the guys in the south stand shuffled over a few blocks up join thè singers corner ..

The fans in 109-111 and 116-119 are mainly ex North Stand and Kippax (plus offspring) who are used to standing and singing due to doing it for a few years.

We can't really blame the non regulars who buy tickets and end up sat where the away fans would normally be. Though I will admit singing 'Why the fuck are you sat down' and 'Worst support...'

Its also not up to City which tickets Fulham sell. City are obliged to offer them all the away end, they will then take what they want and return the rest. As the lower tier is cheaper this is always going to be the first choice of the away club.

Totally wrong. If City decide to move away fans to the East/West stands, be it tier 1,2 or 3 then that is their choice. Absolutely nothing to do with the away club! Hence why we did it with Bayern Munich and didn't we do it for a league game when we had 'operation 1 end'?

Reminds me of the promotion decider at Notts County when the home fans were put in the usual away section and City had the rest of the ground. Funniest of all was that we bought tickets from a tout and ended up in the tiny home section with hundreds of other City fans. Those who were there will recall it was a "typical City" day that ended in tears.

It's been done and the atmosphere was shite.

Only in the Champions League where the atmosphere was rubbish in the 'normal' setup too (except vs. Real Madrid at times). They should try it at least one in a league game, especially when the away side is bringing about 400 people - why bother separating the singers when a silent bus load of away fans bother to show up?

Why would it work in the league and not the Champions Lge?

Because we tend to have better atmospheres in the league than Champions League, a lot of people seem to stay home for the Champions League games and are replaced by tourists. I mean last season the West Brom game had a better atmosphere than the Napoli game, which is bizarre when one is so much bigger than the other.

Didn't we do it for the Wigan game last season? It was widely criticised and deemed a failure. The day 'Operation One End' died.
