I have been very disappointed with him since the Arsenal match. He’s done very little work off the ball but gets into decent positions but his finishing and decision making are really really disappointing.

Really odd and downright disrespectful team selection. Lots of players thrown under the bus and supporters spent good money to watch a carabao cup side in the champions league. The team selection must have been a real shot in the arm for Leverkusen.

Really concerned about the form of Bobb, Savinho, Ake, Reijnders and Marmoush. Since he’s come back from injury he’s done nothing and shown nothing.

Pep got that horribly wrong and I really hope we see a reaction on Sunday.

Zabba had character this guy hasn't even got a backbone

I think saying he had character is a bit of an understatement. Zabba was shit at first, but the way he continuously fought in losing situations was the thing that made him stand out. Over time, he became a pretty good footballer and knew exactly when to make the right wing overlap.

I'd love it (Keegan esq:) if we did go for Semenyo, he's x100 times better than Savinho. I agree about Eze even the other ex Palace player who went to Bayern, I thought he was a decent player too. But let's be honest, how many really want to come to us?

I almost failed a fitness test tonight but after retaliating with alcohol and paracetamols, I feared the worst as soon as I saw the line-up

Maybe he's looked at the December fixtures and summised that winning the Carabao Cup and finishing in the Top Four is our best hope of success this season

Yeah I mean part of me is annoyed with his selection, but a larger part is frustrated with the squad we’ve accumulated and the performances put in. That started 11 should have been capable of much more. So porous all over the pitch.

That said I was really impressed by their 35 and 10, but maybe that was down to our lack of pressing, following runners and spaces we gave up all over. Non-existent marking and lack of movement off the ball when attacking, does not a potent combo make.

Tonight was madness and anyone who filled their boots at 13/2 even after the line up was announced made a very good call!

The Premier League and Cups are more important to the rebuilding that is going on. Make no mistake, 8 teams in the Champions League are so far ahead of this City squad and could win it this season

Pep's choice and timing could have been better, knowing Mardid away is next up next and we need our best starting 11 just to have a little chance of picking up a point. We are giving up 6 points to the rest in the top 8 and will find ourselves 12th or lower before the last 2 games

Look, if we are winning silverware like the League Cup or FAcup come May 2026 then tonight's choice and starting 11 was right by Pep
