The forward we bring in (if we indeed do) needs to be one that can play striker or on the wing, imo. Adding another true striker doesn't help much with our rotation, as that's the only position Sergio plays and Gabriel is much more effective there than out wide.

Don't be so sure. Guardiola absolutely loved Lewandowski by all accounts and there could be genuine interest. I'd have seen him potentially fit Chelsea but with no CL football will he go there?
