Had an Aldi chicken for Sunday roast today as a trial, normally don't do Asda/Tesco/ Morrissons as they are tasteless (well- it would be, it's chicken). Usually go for Marks & Spencer's and this one was pretty good.
Those digestives, try the chocolate ones- even better and don't fall apart as easy when you dunk them in your brew.
Lidl black pudding, not bad- Irish style with oats in but can't get Clonakilty or Shaws over here. Lidl thick cut bacon, not bad (usually get meat from proper butcher tbh) don't get white shite coming out of it when you grill it (salt/ preservative/ bulking up agent?). Cheapo 47p granary bread, does for me butties.
You pay for what you get meat wise though, lamb and beef are tough.
What is nice is Lidl Ciabatta bread mix, half a packet makes six rolls or 1 loaf- a dozen rolls for under a quid!
Aldi? creamy yoghurts, nice. Both of them do nice raspberry jam.
Avoid Lidl''s best instant coffee- tastes burnt.
Kinnel- you'll be wanting ironing tips next.
