Lidl / Aldi

Aldi breaded Camembert
Lidl scotch eggs

Both very nice

Also noticed they sell tinned croissants which confused me slightly

all Aldi and Lidl food is fuckin rank cheap food pumped full of shite ,coming from all parts of the globe and packaged in Germany to make it look similar to British and Irish products .Im sure they do the odd nice tub coleslaw and sell a few tasty frozen treats but 80% of the food in those kips are garbage theres a reason they sell it cheap .

Used to shop in Netto in Levenshulme when I was a Student. It gave me food poisoning from either a toffee yoghurt or some ham. Knocked me out for days and I lost loads of weight! They were good for beer because it'd be stacked high and sold cheaply - but I'd rather not buy fresh products there again.

Correct

People who have the time to shop around different stores a few times a week can get real good value from Lidl and aldi, but for me I tend to do one big shop that lasts for 10 days, only topping up on bread and milk.

I always shop at Tesco. The big one near me never has empty shelves like the sainsburys does, and the queues at the tills are never too big. Asda doesn't sell loads of the stuff we need, like a certain dogfood and the fresh produce is pretty hit and miss. Went to Morrisons and thought it was awful, didn't have loads of stuff and everything is wrapped in clingfilm??

For me, Tesco has enough variety of products so that nothing is missed, and the clubcard points help with cheaper fuel when I fill the car, and they also have deals at restaurants and gyms. We had a meal at Casa Tapas for free just from the clubcard points, and theres some deal on at jessops where they will give you tripple the value of your points which is pretty good.

Correct

Just go there for the coleslaw then!!!!!

I don't buy much from either supermarket, but I am on a crusade to spread the word of Lidl luxury coleslaw!!!!

I sound so sad when I tell anyone who will (or won't!!) listen just how good this is!!

Obviously it only applies in the world of coleslaw and I don't lay awake at night thinking about it!!!

But....... it's the tits!!
