Life after Elano

10 assists, 10 goals in his first season. Not a bad season if you ask me. Played his first league game for Hughes, scored 2 then dropped the next game. How would you feel? From that point fell out with the manager and it didn't work out.

It's a shame because now we have zero creative cover for stephen ireland. If he gets a long term injury who else can pull the strings in that role? No-one.

Oh well.

But he wasn't prepared to sit and wait until Stevie got injured.
 
LOL at people sayin Elano would be useful to us at the weekend. If he was on the pitch he'd offer us fuck all like in all the derbies he played.

2-1 on their special day was he in the team? Was he fuck.

And lol at people saying he didn't get a chance and he was always on the bench. Complete bullshit. He played almost evry game under Sven and was hopeless after his 2 month honeymoon period. Played plenty under Hughes as well and was hopeless in most of them. Had some good games under Hughes but too many times he was a passenger and when you're up against it elano is the man to let you down

I miss his whigneing to the press. Maybe he'll have a whinge about us on Saturday, like he did the day before the last derby (and the day after)?

I also saw the challenge he did on Tevez in their international game. Typical cowardly shit house elano challenge that

When will people understand that playing with Elano was like playing with 10 men. He played well at Hamburg last season and at Goodison. Thats it. Apart from those 2 games he was really mediocre. This Brazil regular argument is absolute bull as well. Can you imagine Brazil playing at Blackburn away or something? They would all be running for their lives down the tunnel to avoid Tugay breaking their legs.
 
Guy played 15 good games in 2 seasons and we miss him? Not a fucking chance. Played when he felt like, didn't like the cold. Took a good pen, fair play but so did Ched Evans, and that means shit.

Better off without the guy.
 
Have to say I loved the guy in his first season and do think at times last season he was dropped unjustly. However once Hughes got into him about tracking back he started to play very well indeed. I lost all my love for him when he was whoring himself to Inter.

My blue tinted glasses were always on with Elano but his performances didnt merit his legendary status. I think many of us were just in awe of having a Brazilian international.
 
Elano was (and still is) a great player.

His performance in the Pompey match last season, his interchanges with Robinho were outstanding.

Why say he had a shit year and he should go when other members of the club had equally 9if not worse years) and "need to be given time"...

many hypocrites.
