I feel obliged to offer some support K. I'm baffled that anyone reading your comment could have interpreted it any differently.
 
Bit hesitant to join in here as a woman but oh well...

I'm 36, single and pretty much resigned to that life now.

As of this year, I can't have kids. That both narrows down the potential pool of partners and removes any sense of urgency to find someone.

I don't want a relationship unless it's with someone whose company I enjoy more than my own. Being something of a loner and a weirdo, that's quite a high standard, and when combined with the requirement that he'd have to like me too it seems pretty much impossible.

I'm not ruling anything out - you never know what twists and turns your life will take - but I'm not actively looking for someone.

If it's any help, if you're not actively looking the chance of you finding someone you actually like is better IMHO.

Personally I don't know how your lot put up with us lot anyway, I know I wouldn't :)

Just like me but rather than can’t have kids, I just don’t want kids.

Life can surprise you though, you can randomly walk around a corner you didn’t initially intend to walk round and bump into someone worthwhile.

I always find that not actively looking for meeting someone, is when it tends to happen. Girls must smell the desperation on me when I’m out looking for it and give me the swerve haha
