MODS, my apologies in advance. I know that there's a thread (or maybe two) already but an awful lot of work has gone into arranging the following events at extremely short notice - and if you could not merge this so that as many people as possible know what's happening (or better yet sticky it for a day or two) I'd be most grateful).

The Limerick OSC are inviting all Blues to join us at Halpins Bar (also called the Village Inn), Clare Street, from about 3.30pm onwards on Sunday. There will be complimentary finger food, City DVD's on the tellies & City Cd's on the stereo. If anybody is staying on in town, after the game, this is where you'll be guaranteed to find some of us too.

Also... The Limerick OSC has organised a suite (a f**king suite, no less!) with its own private, cash bar, in the East Stand at Thomond Park. We are currently in negotiations to get City to bring the Premier League Trophy into us for a while and there is a strong hint that some of the players may pop their heads in too.
Naturally, we can't blithely promise that any of the above will take place until City give us a definite yes on it, but it is fair to say that it is likely to happen. (Apparently, we won't be getting a definite yes from City until flight manifests are confirmed and we don't know when that'll be).
Tickets are only available through supporters clubs.
Tickets for the suite cost €15 (adult) & €12 (child).

***I must stress that this charge is being made by Thomond Park and neither City nor the OSC are making a penny out of this.*** (That said, €15 each for a suite at a top class venue like Thomond really is silly cheap).

There are some tickets for the suite remaining but PLACES ARE LIMITED - that said, if you've been on here a while, you're stuck and you'd really like to go, pm me and I'll do my best to get you sorted. No promises (no funny stuff or mysterious "handling charges" either) but I will do my best.

THE LIMERICK OSC HAS BEEN RUNNING TROUBLE FREE EVENTS SINCE 1995. LET'S KEEP THAT RECORD GOING.

PS: Ye'll like the look of Limerick when ye get here. Buildings and bridges are already adorned with both Limerick & City flags... Brings the lump to the throat of at least one lifelong Blue, I can tell ye.

You forgot to mention the flak jackets!

;-)

Cork Blue here. Heading up Sunday and getting the last trainin back at 10:20pm.

No t a OCS member so is there no hope of getting suite tickets. No worries if not. Just wondering before we get tickets from ticketmaster.

(Hope there's a decent enough team out)

Hope Limerick do very well out of this financially as a lot of people have put a lot in to make this game a success.

I tae my hat off to the Limerick OSC as it can't have been much fun surrounded by 'plastic Rags' all these years, hope you're all enjoying the way things have panned out.

Is Halpin's on the corner of Pennywell Road and Clare Street and what's the best bet for parking? I'll have my two boys with me so don't fancy hauling them all over town.

Tony M, I pm'd you, mate.

Yes greennblue, that's where Halpin's is. You can park along the road there on a Sunday (it's usually choc full of cars on a big matchday).
As for distance to Thomond Park... it wouldn'y be as far as say Jury's Inn to Parc Ui Caoimh but it's still a 20 minute stroll for an adult.

Was in Limerick yesterday bridge looks well with the flags and all.
Heading up tomorrow with the family wife and five kids getting the Galway branch bus up.
Was at the FA CUP meeting with Paul Lake that the Limerick branch orginised very good evening .
looking forward to it now tickets in hand and going into the afters.
