He was a reserve team player from the late eighties around the time people like steve lomas/garry flitcroft came through. i remember him being a small tubby winger a bit like Maradona. i think he got home sick and went back home rather than being released.

spot on! i remember him. think his name was spelt currie though. saw him in a few reserve games and he looked brilliant. he did used to get homesick and loved playing in his pipe band.

Definately Curry, not Currie. Watched him for a while when I lived in Norn Iron when he was playing for Linfield and Larne. Mad wee sod with more than just a passing fancy for getting himself in the shit. never realised he'd been with our reserves tho otherwise i wouldnt have given him quite as much crap as I did!

Yes thats right -he did go back home homesick.At the same time Chris Coleman the ex-Fulham manager went back to Wales homesick.

Lindsay Curry came back to City but didnt make it.Skilful winger but possibly wasnt fit enough to make it in top flight football.
