Definitely a market for the BBC in the commercial sector. I reckon the content you mention is all very profitable on the open market. Not sure we need a national broadcaster taxing folk to pay for the inadequate news and sport output. The news/political opinion shows have become a joke over the past 10 years. There’s without doubt a political lean in a lot of what they do and because of that I think it needs to drop the licence and concentrate on its profitable sector.Their science and nature programmes and documentaries. They have shows that i have like over the years, period dramas, detective shows, and some comedies. I like their history and science podcasts too.
