That's very true but it also might really be a white male. Depends how much weight is given to experience of the men's game (as far as I know MOTD is a program about the men's game`, why not have a version of MOTD for the women's game?)

The relevant skill for presenting a TV show is the ability to present a TV show. Allied to that primary ability would be someone who has an interest and knowledge about the sport itself. This criteria can be met by either sex.

They will have soon, and that will be presented by a team of women, maybe the BBC will choose to show both men and womens football on the program.

They will have to intermingle it though because as soon as the men's football finishes it'll be off faster than a political broadcast ;-)

He commentates for loads of other channels he wont go short, I don't know how he'll manage financially maybe we should all chip in at #hardluckbigears because rich people have feelings too.

To balance things out, I agree with most of his political comment.
I think that he has been the best presenter of recent times. MOTD has become rather irrelevant now though, as we get 24 hour coverage of the game elsewhere.

However, there are some of us who don't have 24 hour coverage elsewhere!!

He also doesn’t commentate for lots of other channels. Fake news all over the place.

He’ll have to make do being co-founder of Goalhanger Podcasts and presenting World Cups and SPOTY. I’m sure he’ll make do.

I hardly watch it. Usually off record. It's gone very stale and needs a revamp. Tribalism rears it's head occasionally (not as much as Sky, obviously) because they are all former players, and the less said about Micah ....

Tbh it doesn't matter who presents it to me, as I rarely watch it.

The accompanying commentary is irrelevant and the thoughts of Shearer or Danny Murphy is of no fucking interest whatsoever.

I realise that this is my jaundiced opinion, but I seriously question the impartiality of the editors and expect a bias against City , as this stance usually appeals to the anybody but city clan, together with the rags and dippers , and will this promote a larger viewing public.

Despite being a rag supporter, when I have watched him Mark Chapman comes across well imo , just so long as he doesn't have to have Micah Richards making a tool of himself apart of the deal.
