She seems to fit the profile as an ex-player but I don't remember her particularly adding anything to the conversations with in-depth contributions.

Problem could be down to the editor deciding what her contribution should be of course.

Led to believe, from a reliable source, that Chappers isn't as likeable off screen as he is on screen.

What kind of source and what kind of likeability are we talking here? Nobody compares to him in quality of his job as as a presenter, particularly any of the female presenters they are trying to push through.
I've heard this morning on tS he would only go for a job if he does not need to share it with another presenter. Or maybe he has a nasty experience how they completely destroyed his perfectly good NFL show. And I am not sure if I care about his off-screen persona, I just want somebody to bring a bit of character and knowledge into very anodyne show. And please lose those stupid triangles and polygons pretending to explain some tactical positioning.

I agree the BBC is a unique organisation which has more positives than negatives. However the negatives are what people see which is their "balanced" news and sports departments.

Their science and nature programmes and documentaries. They have shows that i have like over the years, period dramas, detective shows, and some comedies. I like their history and science podcasts too.

I thought she was very good during the Olympics, covering the athletics in the main stadium with Lewis, Ennis-Hill and Johnson. Whether she'd have the knowledge to front a football show is open to question.
