Well your obviously brainwashed by all these pundits. I've even seen Messi play live at the Nou Camp twice and I was left feeling disappointed. He's all hype, trust me. Atleast Robinho trys spectacular moves and tricks unlike Messi who just puts his head down and runs. If Robinho was at Barcelona and Messi at City Robinho would be considered best because Barcelona marketing team promote their players in the press as the best in the world to sell shirts.

I agree with you to some extent. I've watched Robinho V Argintina and he outshun Messi. He has more tricks and can smack them in from 30yrd aswell, somthing you dont see Messi do. Also V Portugal the other week he made Ronaldo look shite, he totally run the show.

But Messi on he's day, is unstoppable at what he can do.

Robinho is one of my fav players but you guys can't be serious in saying that messi is nothing special. I've been watching european football for the past 16 years and NEVER been impressed by a player like him. The guy is simply out of this world. He's the best player in the world by faar, there is simply no one that is even close to him ATM....

One of Messi's goals was a penalty but he hit the crossbar anyway so could've had another. Still, just talking about this guy in a totally unrelated matter and he scores a hattrick against a CL-side. Got robbed of the ballon d'or in my opinion (possess some of the qualities such as respect and humility that tranny obviously doesn't, plus messi is better IMO).

Anyway, this thread is a windup and we will probably never get Messi, even if in a few years if we still have all the money in the world and have won everything - I reckon we still couldn't get him.
